For those of you who are curious why Ponda Baba bled when Obi-Wan cut off his arm: Aqualish were an arachnid-like species. Like arachnids, they had large blood sacks rather than veins and other blood vessels. When his arm was cut off, it began to cauterize like most lightsaber wounds, but the size of the blood vessels caused the cauterization to be useless, therefore allowing it to bleed.

19 years ago from A New Hope, a droid army nearly conquered the galaxy. Maybe he was orphaned in the clone wars. Even if was old enough to live on his own he is still a orphan if his parents died. That is why I think he hates droids.

Defels and Shistavanians may be related as much as Kel-Dor are with Gand and Tognath. Biologically they might be were close, since they are both canine'esque mammals, they might even be able to breed with each other, but im not sure about it, and they are definately not the sub-species of each other as far as i know.
