56-yo lesbian here. I’ve been out for 40 years and before my current relationship, i had been in 2 long-term relationships (8 and 10 years) and a few shorter-term (1-2 years). Bottom line in all of this is like she said, TALK WITH YOUR PARTNER…about everything. Honestly, if you can’t talk with her, you shouldn’t be having sex with her. You’re just not ready for that. And that’s totally OK. People rush into sex and there’s no reason for that. Go at your own pace. Also, when I found my current partner, the woman who is everything I’ve ever wanted, we no longer have sex, we make love. When you have that mature relationship where you can both fully be yourself and feel mutually deeply loved, the experience goes way beyond sex. And foreplay does as well. For us, foreplay includes not just caressing, making out and other acts she mentioned in the video, but the way one of us pats the other on her butt while cooking dinner or holding hands in the car or the sweet kisses when we greet each other at the end of our work day. Just flirting, teasing, being playful and kind and showing your love is foreplay. And the act of making love is deeply connected and intimate. You have fun with it and are able to be vulnerable as well. It’s totally normal to be nervous in the beginning and it’s actually pretty adorable too so go ahead and try whatever you want and don’t ever be critical with either yourself or your partner. Personally I feel everyone should make sure they're clean down there before having any kind of sex. It's definitely more hygienic.
