All The Drama At The National Theatre - Security Get Educated!!

Hi Guys,
Well I decided to get myself down to the Southbank on the river Thames to visit some of our fine nations cultural institutions and first on the list of what ended up being a Southbank trilogy was the ‪@NationalTheatre‬.
And what can I say, once again I was lulled into a false sense of security only for everything to deteriorate into utter madness - all for a man with a camera.
Thankfully this ended up being an educational experience for all parties involved and when the ‪@metpolice_uk‬ a few educations were swiftly given quickly followed by some even swifter walks of shame.
Poor show on the national theatre who think it appropriate to harass a member of the public who happens to wear a mask for a disability.

Here is the relevant policy from the NT website: "Photography and filming is not permitted in any of our auditoriums but ticket-holders are welcome to take pictures in our foyers to document your visit to the National Theatre." Obviously commercial photography is a different matter. It's just amazing that these idiots can say it's "private property". The building is owned by a registered charity. It was built using public money and continues to be heavily subsidised by taxpayer money. The clue is in the name. The "Royal National" theatre is the people's theatre, funded partly by the people and partly by box office receipts. And you did not even go into the building. The South Bank promenade is one of the most popular tourist spots in London. There are thousands of people taking pictures there every day. These guards are just bored and looking for an opportunity to assert their pathetic little egos.
