Along with the Maki backstab being similar to Toji stabbing Gojo back then, I thought Megumi laying on the ground having given up was very reminiscent of when Yuji gave up in Shibuya. Im a strong believer in the idea that Gojo will return heavenly restricted by making a binding vow to return from the afterlife while removing his CE and Six Eyes. Its very poetic to think after him removing his six eyes the things he relied on to be so strong and understand cursed energy the thing that blinded him of humanity to only see CE auras when he awakes from death without the six eyes now truly able to see he sees Shoko to remind him he was never alone in this world, and he had just blindfolded himself. The heavenly restrictions could also represent what you talked about of Gojo no longer being defined by strength and having to work with people. While the heavenly restricted are strong they’re not god level like Gojo was. This will be his time to return to humanity by renouncing his god like power. It also gives him more connections to Toji. Rn Gojo is literally wearing Toji’s clothes, and Gojo is very much Megumi’s father figure. It creates a nice connection. The Father who left everything behind including Megumi, and the father who left everything behind (his ce, and defining thing his strength) for Megumi.

Tsukumo Yuki. Idk if others have mentioned her, but you didn't. It falls into the cyclical events of JJK that you mentioned. She was also cut in half. She didn't immediately die. She was running her RCT enough to keep fighting Kenny and had enough cursed energy to turn herself into a black hole. Gojo's RCT runs infinitely more efficient than her RCT because of his six-eye technique. Now, yes. Gojo was much more exhausted and suffered way more injuries over all but healed his burnout & he was running at 120% after he hit those black flashes. What would be... say... maybe 10 "units" of cursed energy for the average sorcerer, Gojo would only use about 0.001 "unit" of cursed energy for the same thing. It's not so much that he can't heal himself but moreso if he wants to, hence the airport scene. So, yeah. After Ui Ui grabs him, Utahime's boost, and Shoko's help, he'll come back. He also smiled at the end of the chapter after Sukuna's compliment so it's already shown he's not dead yet. I got my bottle of champagne ready for when we see him again.

What I really want Gege to touch on is what Gojo said in his fight against Toji, that the downside of being part of the big three clans is that your hereditary techniques come with an instruction manual. And Gojo seemed to know a lot about that one Six Eyes bearer vs Ten Shadows user fight 400-ish years ago. If your former strongest clan member died fighting a Ten Shadows user, why wouldn't you, as the Gojo clan, somehow put your hands on the "instruction manual" of the Ten Shadows Technique? And learn it by heart, even come up with something that could prevent the same thing to happen? Either a technique or a plan, "just in case". They definitely know about Mahoraga's existence and how the former Six Eyes + Limitless member got killed in the ritual so wouldn't it be smart to have something that can help the next member (Gojo) avoid dying from it? The Gojo clan is THE Gojo clan. And they've had beef with the Zenins ever since that fight. It would only make sense to want to know everything about your rivals. Maki said that being the head of a clan gives you access to information no one else has. Satoru is the leader and maybe he didn't postpone the fight only to kill Kenjaku on December 24th. Maybe whatever he had to do against Mahoraga needed time, something similar to a "bath" or something. If the Gojo clan did not come up with a solution for Mahoraga in 400 years, they're kinda dumb. Unless it's impossible for a Six Eyes + Limitless to win against it, but if that had been the case, Gojo would've never accepted to fight Sukuna in Megumi's body. Gege has always used timeskips to hide something and so far we've only got the non-Gojo cast flashbacks, their plans, their thoughts, but nothing with Gojo. Nothing with Shoko, Ijichi, Gakuganji and Utahime, the ones who were with him. This man did not go fight Sukuna without preparations. He knew about Mahoraga and its abilities. He knew how the former Six Eyes person died. That skipped month is so important.

My favourite reason that gojo will come back in some way is based on the setting of JJK. There is a lot of eastern philosophy in the show. In eastern philosophy vision is associated with power, therefore the number of eyes is correlated to the power of the character. Everyone in jjk have 2 eyes, tengen and sukuna have 4 eyes and only gojo has 6 eyes. Gojo is the strongest in the philosophical hierarchy of the show.

Can you please do an analysis of who is more talented and has more potential: Megumi or Yuta? 2. I think Toji killed himself knowing that Gojo did his job right. But the sad thing is that he didn't know that just hours (maybe minutes) ago Gojo was sealed and just at that moment Sukuna (perhaps the biggest threat to Megumi) was released. I think that the conversation at the airport was the biggest hint that Gojo was coming back. Just from a narrative perspective, the conversation about going north or south is telling, as you mentioned. I don't believe that Gojo really was being true to himself in that conversation, and I think that this will symbolize a second "rebirth." Gojo's first "death" and ressurection brought him insight into jujutsu and made him "the strongest", while I think that his second rebirth will bring him insight into himself, who he is, and what is most important to him.

On that first point you made, Gojo hasn’t just been cut in half, his gut has been severed from his brain, which means his brain has no access to cursed energy which is a requirement to perform RCT. The principle behind why the head being severed from the body removes the possibility of performing RCT is the same principle that would make it impossible for Gojo to perform RCT with his gut and brain being severed from eachother.

Second of all, the reason why that is relevant is because he said (or at least heavily implied) that so long as your head is attached, you can perform RCT and that because Gojo still has his head attached, he should at least be able to perform it at a bare minimum level on his own without outside assistance, which is not true. I just binge watched the anime for the first time but i don’t plan on reading the manga as im not familiar with that so im fine with waiting for S3. But i have seen everyone talking about Gojos death for a while and even read on the explanation of how his Infinity was bypassed. I hope he does come back because technically, you are correct that he can use RCT since his head wasn’t cut off. The fact that Shoko is still around should really be pivotal in his return since her importance has really been background except for the fact that she is the doctor for sorcerers. (again, i haven’t dived into the manga so i’m not sure if she has more appearances) When he does make his return, i do want to see him stand side by side with Yuta, Yuji, Megumi & Maki respectively. That lineup COOKS.

@@fisht251Well, you kinda showed the point but ok. From my head i remember two things that are overlooked, so i will discuss them: 1. The Brain Reboot with RCT. Its presented right before the fight bc otherwise Gojo would have to deal with Sure Hit Slashes + Sukuna's CT at 120% or Ten Shadows at the same time. Gojo attempted 4 versions of his domain before finding out how to last enough to break Sukuna concentration. 2. His Black Flash. It was conveniently placed right before the 120% Hollow Purple to make him regain enough output to not only kill Mahoraga in one shot but also damage Sukuna so he cant do anything else. If the Shikigami survived that, i think Gojo might have lost even without World Slash. None of this is asspull imo, bc like i said, i honestly dont believe any of the things Sukuna or Gojo do are unbelievable considering their showcase of jujutsu skill or just immersion breaking from a narrative perspective. Like, come on the guy can do a Open Domain and transformed himself into a Cursed Object after experiencing it just once. After doing so many "asspulls", you just have to accept this is consistent with the character and the story.

Gojo's return is very special, the amount of information and even hints that Gege has given to us should be enough, but we still don't know when it's going to happen, and that's what's killing me in the inside, because we all know it's going to happen, come on, it's closer to obvious than conspirational, but the lack of knowledge of when and how is what makes it special, since he could come back to kill Sukuna once and for all, or even later when fighting someone or something else, at this point, idk, I'm just waiting for it to happen.

Considering toriyama passing, this could also work as Gege tribute for him. From the cell saga-buu, Goku has been obaessed with the idea of finding a successor to his position as earth protector, the strongest warrior, which lead to the main villain getting a one up on him. In the end of buu goku realize that the responsibility to fight for earth shouldnt be bear by one person only, but all the people that can help. Thus why buu ended the way it is, with Buu lose to spirit bomb powered by people of earth and Goku powered by his friends.

Right, the damage from Toji to his brain is more significant dmg because kusakabe said it is very very difficult to heal something like the brain but Gojo healed it not only at death's door but his first time using rct. He should be able to heal this injury with some help hopefully. But i honestly think he's dead, it just fun to speculate if he can come back

A major loose thread in the story I see almost no one talking about is Yaga’s Cursed Corpse technique, he states there’s a way to create curse corpses like panda who can survive individually, and his discloses this as his last words, to his killer no less. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gojo really has ‘died’ but Yaga’s method by can in some way be used either in part or in full to bring him back. It’s also mentioned right before his fight with Sukuna, adding even more weight to it.

I have a question about Six eyes and how it interacts with black flash, would Gojo be able to do a black flash on command because of the six eyes? Because the whole point of the six eyes is like the full control of your cursed energy so wouldnt it be able to put that CE on a hit within that time frame you need for a black flash? If thats the case, why hasnt he used it?

Sukuna has already revealed that Gojo is in fact dead so that was Gege putting an end to people expecting him to come back. However it is also suspect why they took the time to teleport his body away from the battlefield

Best justification I got is pretty logical IN REAL LIFE people survive being sliced in half like satoru and no they don't have RCT so why wouldn't semi god stay alive and heal himself... the injury with toji was also way way more dangerous he had his lung liver and a lot of artery slashed as well as the head injury if he survived that as a weakling who just learned hie to perform RCT and die to something less lethal when he is the strongest in the verse

the thing for gojo coming back is that sukuna cleaved past his stomach where curse energy comes from thats why i dont think he can use rct becasue his energy is going out of his body unless shoko heals him
