You should consider using the build lore scrolls/books. A full scroll case gives me a 40% chance "to build for free" but also applies to cooking, smelting,and crafting. Procs a lot for me and really helped when I'd reach new resources and they were limited

I strongly recommend the Emerald-runes on your new waraxe, that will give you some ironwood every time you brake anything made of wood, even scaffolding and orc builds.

@@kevin4324 Might work for you but not for me though. I have the emerald rune on my axe and it does not give me iron wood at all when I break crates and furniture, only the dark iron wood furniture gives me iron wood. I found a couple of pallets of iron wood thou in houses up high on like the third floor where I had to build access to get to it.

@@Madmaxx_001 really?? chances are around 10% to get one. If you max the world drops & mining you should get a “lot” of it. Try hitting the orctown palisades with the rune and then destroy with the pickaxe/mattock. Gets me loads everytime

You missed a stairway up you need to break and clear out in the bottom of the area with water and pipes. Not sure yours will be the same, but there was a large troll I couldn't kill for anything surrounded by purple mist. I'm leaving him alone after dumping a few hundred arrows into him for nothing.

That gold in the beginning must have been a god send for you mate. I am hurting bad for gold in the same area in my first playthrough and I only had one pillar area with something in it and it was resin.... Just shows the RNG and world instance is vastly different for everyone. Still cannot find gold thou, sucks big time!! My RNG is kicking my butt!!

It really was. I was screaming for gold. With only 1 node and a tiny one at that being the only one I found until I found that room.

An interesting thing regarding the finite resources is, technically they're not finite. If you ever feel like you're too short on resources on your main world, start a sandbox world with the same dwarf you use for your main. You keep your inventory between worlds. So say you mine 200 iron in your sandbox, you can take all 200 back in your inventory right back to your main. Another funny trick, though it is situational, is that enemies have their own relations with each other. And in some cases, their hatred of each other outshines their hatred of you. Gundabad orcs for example, hate trolls more than they hate dwarves. Which can lead to funny situations where you as a dwarf are fighting side by side with orcs and wargs vs one particularly nasty troll (x Unfortunately this relation does not carry over to trolls sent for base raids.

Sneaky Dwarf. I have seen the Orcs fighting Trolls haha. Just leave them to it and pick up the jewels :D

Base raids keep happening, you don't get any hordes anymore out exploring when you defeat the Orc camp leader on a level. Also, I might have missed you saying this in earlier episodes, did you go back to the top levels to mine out all the high-level stuff you couldn't before (although from the title this problem might be solved this episode)? And that one area in the Crystal Decent you still had left to explore?

I like to use the Eregion Shield for light.

Yes and die a lot... That shield is only T1, you need at least a T2

@@mystikaraindepends on the weapon you carry… i went through the game with it and had more problems having an adequate weapon than the shield. The light is too good

TBH That helmet is just as good as your old one, most helmets are nonfunctional and have T1, T3 or T2 do better IMO. I hate asymmetry as well, could be my military training because I never was like that as a kid.
