Chen had a wedding ceremony last October 22, 2023. And I was so happy and so proud of him. I am pretty sure that he's happy now with his wife and children.

Kai has 3 mini albums. For Kai, as a dancer, performance is important, so each was made with dance in mind. He had a few solo songs before - Deep Breath, ICU, Confession and Spoiler which are also all about the performance. As you like the rappers Chanyeol and Sehun, you would probably like the sub-unit EXO-SC which is the two of them. The other sub-unit EXO-CBX has Main Vocalists Chen and Baekhyun with Xiumin. These are often more light hearted but they also sing tracks that pull at your emotions.

Thank you for this .. Chen is actually a father of two beautiful daughters now. He can also play the piano. Lay has his own company in China. Lay's contract with SM has expired but he's still with Exo. However, as sm likes to sabotage exo all the time, expecting lay to participate in any exo comeback is actually just based on hope. I hope you'll react to Lit by Lay. You'll be amazed, i promise. D.O.'s contract with SM has also expired and he just started his own company as a partner with another person. Baekhyun said that he's also in the process of establishing his own company next year. But they confirmed that all exo activities will be done under sm for now.

Xiumin is pronounced like Shoe-Min or Shoo-Min. X in Chinese is pronounced the sh sound in English. As one of the two Korean members of EXO-M, EXO's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, Kim Minseok was given the stage name Xiumin because it helps him fit in as a member of EXO-M and it makes him more relatable to their Chinese fans. Kim Minseok is also a very common name in Korea. Therefore, it also helps distinguish him from all the other Kim Minseoks in the entertainment industry. He was even on a reality show once where they cast several celebrity Kim MinSeoks together, so he actually asked them to call him Xiumin in order to make it less confusing when they were talking about each other. LOL I actually knew a well-known actor named Kim Minseok and a musician with that name before I knew Xiumin. One of the main reasons why Suho was a trainee for 7 years was because he originally started out training to be a member of SM's legendary second-generation group, SHINee. However, right before SHINee was to debut in 2008, Suho injured his knee and he couldn't train for their debut showcase, so SM decided to debut SHINee without him. He ended up having to wait 4 more years before he debuted as the leader of EXO. But, by all accounts, this worked out for the best because he became the leader, and as the other EXO members say, he was born to be a leader. If he had stayed a member of SHINee he never would have become a leader, because Onew -- who is the leader of SHINee -- is 2 years older than Kim JunMyeon (Suho), and at the time of SHINee's debut it was pretty much a given that the oldest member would automatically be the leader. However, 4 years later when EXO debuted, the rules within the industry had kind of changed and it was no longer a hard and fast rule that the oldest would be the leader. Case in point, Xiumin is the oldest EXO member and, yet, Suho became the leader. Being a trainee for 7 years isn't that uncommon. If you start to really look into it, you will find a lot of Idols who have trained for a very long time before they debuted. However, it all depends on how talented someone is or how much experience they have had before becoming a trainee as to how long they train. Some idols only train for a few weeks or a few months, whereas others could take years and they may be on the verge of giving up when the company finally decides they are ready to debut. And some trainees may never debut and end up leaving the company or industry. Unfortunately, just because you are a trainee doesn't guarantee you will debut. A lot of it is pure talent and luck combined with sheer dedication. Yes, you will discover that all the members of EXO are actors, and all of them have starred in K-dramas and movies and/or are stage actors. Promoting as a group only takes up a few weeks a year -- on average they only promote their latest comeback on music shows and attend variety shows or do interviews, etc. to promote their newest comeback for about 2 weeks -- so in order to fill their time and continue to make money, all Idols have side projects, which means most idols also spend time as actors, models, Radio DJs, authors, music producers, songwriters, regular/main cast members on variety shows, etc. Their side projects also are part of their cross promotions as idols. Someone who doesn't know them may watch them in a drama or movie or see them promoting their favorite brand or product, etc., which leads to them discovering their group and music, or the person may be a fan of them as a singer and this makes them want to watch their movie or drama, etc. It's all about getting their name and face out there in as many ways as possible in order to drive sales and viewership of everything they are involved in. Baekhyun's performance of "Garden in the Air" is actually a cover performance. The song is originally by BoA, who is a highly respected SM solo artist who debuted in 2000 at the age of 13, and, even after 23 years, she is still a member of SM and is active as a singer and as a member of SM's board of directors. Baekhyun performed that song as a tribute to her for her 20th anniversary in 2020. SM Station is where SM releases songs and projects that are not associated with that singer's group and are not part of an official solo release. These are singles that are usually not part of an album but stand alone as a one-off release. Cosmic Latte is actually grayish-tan like coffee, hence why it has Latte in its name. EXO's fandom color was chosen because it's the color that is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars in the universe. EXO are otherworldly beings, so everything is designed around that concept. JYP Party People is a TV show that was hosted by JY Park, the founder of JYP Entertaiment. It was an hour-long weekly show where JY Park would invite famous guests on to hang out, and most of the time they weren't artists from his company, they were just people he wanted to get to know. He would interview his guests and they would perform songs and interact with the audience. The show had a small club/bar theme so the performances were very intimate and up close with the audience. Besides being the head of JYP Entertaiment, JY Park is a Kpop artist who still releases songs and albums like an idol, so he participates in variety shows and hosts TV shows, etc. to promote himself and his company.

One of my favorite parts in this guide is when Chanyeol is singing All of Me while playing the piano. For the first 23 seconds you can see him constantly adjusting his microphone with his left hand or foot before a woman comes and holds the microphone steady. Exo are an older group and do alot of r&b, contemporary old school retro pop and dance music that the younger groups don't. For some you might resonate with groups like Bts or Nct...more rap and faster vibes....Exo are for vocals. But I love all kpop...Bts and Nct are my #2 and 3 favorites in kpop. D.O., or Kyungsoo, is my ultimate bias in kpop because of his voice. And he's an outstanding actor as well. Baekhyun and Chanyeol are my wreckers...thanks for your reaction Pierre! 💙🌺

JYP Party is a night show where guests do light drinking while talking about life and doing small performances. You should look at EXO's episode, this was one of the few shows where we heard some of members' experiences being an idol and how it affected their thinking and daily lives.

Thanks for the reaction! I totally get why you like the voices of Chanyeol and DO more than the rest. In terms of vocal tones I love baritone the most, but in all of kpop and EXO I like Kai's tone the most: it's even deeper and more textured than DO's but not as scratchy and coarse as Chanyeol's, it's right in the middle and on the edge between a baritone when speaking and tenor when singing... Lower deeper voices soothe me while higher voices make me nervous 😅In terms of vocal skills and ability to convey emotions I love Baekhyun's voice, his control and ability to create a certain image with his voice is unravelled. But all of EXO are so well trained and continue to take vocal lessons for all the 11 years into their career despite all the fame. They're a perfect combination of all types of voices: deep and high, velvety and crystal clear, warm and cold. Mostly baritones are used as rappers in kpop as the industry prefers tenors, but Kai, Sehun and Chanyeol are always there singing the second layer to the main tenor vocalists to make the sound warmer, deeper, more dimensional. Multiple layers in music, vocals, choreography is the main characteristic of EXO and their love of texture always shows in every aspect of their art.

You are here for the music..and for that alone I thank you for reacting to them. EXO definitely has excellent vocals, songs and videos to watch. Out of the 9 members 7 members have already debuted as soloists with their solo albums and Chanyeol will soon be a soloist too. And what keeps EXO standing out with their amazing live vocals is because 6 members out of 9 are musical actors. And I recommend you to watch the live performance of EXO at the 2018 closing ceremony of winter Olympics and some of their best live performance videos. Actually Lay also can play piano, guitar and Chinese instrument ( I forgot the name). He is producer, songwriter and musician. He produces his songs himself without other people’s help in his own studio. I hope you can check his solo songs. Chanyeol also has his studio, where he produces music a lot. And he’s the tallest member (186 cm) I think, this guide barely show Baekhyun’s singing voice. Yes, “Spoiler” is Kai’s b-side from his album.

EXO does not do things to get famous they are. They are the best of the best. The big fashion houses go after them to promote their brand and products not the other way around. They are fashion icons because if they wear a product or fashion item, it sells out. This year Gucci hosted a birthday celebration for Kai in Paris during Fashion Week. He is the Global ambassador for Gucci, and has had his very own capsul. And as for Baekhyun he had his own line the fashion house sought him out. EXO is the universe and everyone everywhere wants to identify with them. They are not just a group of singers. They are extremely talented in almost every field of entertainment. We have the same bias. But everyday it changes hahaha bec why not, theyre all talented and amazing people. P.s. D.O. and Chanyeol (while most of the time guitarist) sang and covered numerous songs together - including Billionaire, Boyfriend, Nothing on You, Love Yourself P.p.s. Thanks for the review. After this, is hard to find a more talented group in kpop. They are all so good in so many fronts that makes them a super group. That is why my favourite songs are many from EXO. Not even super M that has the best from different bands , can overcome Exo. In my top 10 of favourite songs at least 3 are from Exo "monster" "the Eve" and "obsession" and there is no way you can tell witch is my favourite band member, it changes every day. Can you find witch one is the funnies member ? one more thing ...see the live performance of "paper cut" you will see how much feeling they put in the performance.

Actually I was a kid who used to hate listening to k-pop songs, but everything was changed after i saw D.O. I became an exo-l and of course dandanie for sure. He is my ultimate bias and I love him so much!

Thank you for another thoughtful reaction! And sorry this is long, but ... lol Regarding the backlashes against Kai and Baekhyun, it's odd the video did not also mention what happened to Chen. So, I started my EXO journey in July. My favorite was D.O. as his brilliant acting led me to EXO. His singing blew me away. Then Chen blew me away. Then Baekhyun. Then Chanyeol. Then Kai, etc. They are ALL bias wreckers. But for now, I'm stuck on Chen. Not only because of the power and precision of his vocals. But because of his apparent personality and strength, as well. He's known as one of the kindest people in the industry. But still "fans" were insanely vicious when he announced his marriage and baby (he has two kids now). They sent protest trucks to SM and campaigned to kicked him out of EXO. (They did the same to Chanyeol for what turned out to be a rumor). But Chen standing his ground and continuing to work his ass off through all that (plus the contract renegotiations) was impressive. I hope more idols get married and have babies to help change that unhealthy mindset. ... Anyway, that JYP Party appearance was in 2017. It included a foreshadowing moment after the host mentioned to the audience about EXO members eventually getting married. And D.O. also had a beautifully honest moment (he's always refreshingly honest) about idol life that you might find interesting. It would be nice to react to or just watch it on your own for insight. I'm glad to see you are getting to know them a bit more.🥰 as you can see All of them are jewels with a very unique talent. That's why they are called Kings or more recently, Emperors of K-pop 😉. It's difficult to choose a favourite between them, and I'm "struggling" between D.O. and Chanyeol or Chen or Baekhyunee or Xiumin or Lay, Kai, Sehun😅gosh! It's so difficult because I love all of them. And you will see or hear that the main or lead vocalist, have a wide range of voice. Actually, there’s so much more to learn about exo members, but for me especially it’s Lay. He knows how to play so many different instruments (even some traditional Chinese instruments!), he is so talented at dancing and so happy to know different styles of it (he was participating at several dancing shows, where was learning from others how to dance popping, cramp etc), he is producer and produced almost every his solo songs! Lay opened Chromosome Entertainment group, where he teaches trainees everything he knows and he made them the most comfortable conditions, so they can focus on their training without any problem. He is also a designer, Lay has a brand laysiga, that has different type of jewelries. And he is an actor, his film No More Bets (2023) was one of the world’s successful films. HE IS THE MOST HARDWORKING PERSON I HAVE EVER KNOWN

please check out the in depth theories of their lores. istg its insane, all of their mvs are connected to their lore, most songs in every album has connection too when you read the lyrics, each members solos too, commercial ads, concerts, vcrs and even in award show performances. even their variety shows has hint on their lores its honestly insane 😹 they invented the lore in kpop, most groups before them has concept but they were the first group that has a crazy ass lore. others said before lee sooman formed and debuted exo, the story was planned out thoroughly. reason why there is sm universe right now (almost all groups of SM entertainment now has lore and somehow connected like a multiverse)
