Pro tip with immersive the book has a play option that shows each level of the building process that you can pause so you don't have to memorize all levels.

i love the look of IE's fluid pipes and also finally know what HOP means

immersive engineering has the Projector item. craft it with the manual that has the desired multi open and the projector will then show a guide of how to build the structure kinda like the copy paste gadget. no need to memorize every block :D

Chosen, there is a handheld holo-projector that can project a ghost version of the multiblock for you to make. It is inside of the actual mod. However I remember this from 1.12 so it may of been removed but I don't think it was.

Immersive is still a very fun mod Probably the closest to reality and also most game design compromised mod that adds this type of stuff
