They are useful features. Thanks a lot for this good presentation. And I wanna add one important property about new version of excel, convert spilled array ranges into Power Querry editor. It makes dynamic spilled arrays with # useful to maintain some difficult excel functionality by using it. This is new one for office 365 and excel 2021 👍

Hi Jon, you said office scripts are not YET available for desktop versions. Is Microsoft even considering the option of bringing the scripts to the desktop versions? I know macros will not disappear, for backwards compatibility, but it would be nice to have a more modern language available!

Hey Ruben, Great question! Microsoft has stated that they are investigating ways to make Office Scripts (OS) work on all endpoints including the desktop versions. Even with OS on the desktop version, there will still be some technical limitations that might make it challenging to replace the complete functionality of VBA. Here is an article with more details on the differences between OS and VBA. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/scripts/resources/vba-differences OS doesn't support Excel-events to trigger macros with something like a sheet change event. Hopefully that will change in the future. OS also can't interact with other applications. So if you have a macro that copies a bunch of Excel charts to a PowerPoint deck, OS won't be able to replace that. At least not as it stands now. The current workaround for tasks like that is using Power Automate. I think we're really at the beginning of a LONG transition period to more web based computing, where MS will need to solve for these scenarios in the cloud versus enhancing the desktop. I know that seems really far fetched for some scenarios that we run today, and that's why I say LONG transition. My guess is 10+ years. I'd be happy to be wrong on this, but it's mostly because Excel is such a vital part of most business operations that changing processes can be challenging and/or a large investment. There is no navigation pane in my version. I checked, it's the newest update. Or is this again only for beta versions? It's so frustrating if none of the new stuff works for me. Like lambda or the navigation pane

Yeah. when you get the software for free, you can show off. For the rest of us, its $500 to get the beta version of everything MS thinks is cool followed by endless corrections (disguised as updates for security) because the QC sucks. You will always be 6 functions and 22 feature behind. All these self-appointed experts are just MS's advertising...tantalizing you to keep forking out the dough. Windows 25 will be just as bad as windows 95 was, but will cost will be 10 times as much. I wonder how much time Gates spends on his yacht?

Hello mate, Thanks much. One issue though. Almost all the features and most specially the one to allow multiple sheet to unhide is not available in my version. I have office 365 and I am using the laptop provided by my company. So I am fairly certain that software is updated but still, all these new features are not there. Can I guide please?
