Looking through our footage at home, we thought it would be fun to start a little series with some of the moments and waves that were left behind after a year on the road. Happy to report Lauryn can now drive stick shift. All of our rentals next year will be manual to prove it. Hope you enjoy!

This was a great explanation of using the clutch for power, instead of the gas. That’s how my dad explained it to me back in 1974, and it struck a nice memory.

Driving stick it's easy: 1) keep your left foot on the clutch (or nearby all the way to the left) but w/o pressing it 2) use your right foot, and ONLY your right foot, to brake or accelerate (this way you can't do both at the same time) 3) press the clutch down whenever you want to change gears or to brake hard 4) always release the pressure on the clutch smoothly 5) choose your gear according to the terrain, road and speed you are driving
