All The Projects We Have Left To Do | Ch 5 E 92 | Steel Boat Restoration

We have been working to rebuild our steel sailboat for more than two years now. The boat restoration projects are going well, but there is still a ton to do. In this video we explain to you what the biggest projects are that we have left and show you what the interior currently looks like (it's a mess!)

Taking extra time now will pay big dividends in the future. Do as much as possible while you are in the shed, protected from rain and snow at least, even if you are cold. It always seemed to me the small projects took longer than the big ones, probably because there are more of them. You will be in the water soon, maybe not as soon as you had hoped, but better to have things done right.

Hooray for finishing the chain locker! You guys are going to be so glad you're taking the extra six months to get every little thing done and right before relaunching. You'll be able to cruise for quite a few years with no worries except routine maintenance/cleaning and maybe touching up some paint.

I totally understand getting more and more projects, the wife and I are refitiing a trawler as well. She agrees with you about the small spaces. She's only 4'11 and im 6 feet tall. Shes always getting into the small spaces

Such a Great video 📹 this week! The painting is looking Great! You may want to put "Star Bord" in the chain ⛓️ locker. It comes in white or black. Very hard and Durable. It want Rot or rust. And it is easy to work with. Ya'll are definitely getting closer. Splash day is going to be the best day. But do as much as you can before you Splash. Ok have a Great weekend 😀. Lookin' good for spring launch? How old is Max? I've been working around my old & sick/injured pets schedule for the last half dozen years, ugggh sux. One more then I'm free... thinking spring/summer 24 then it's lock the doors and sail!
