That BBC with the procharger sounds so gnarly...in the early 2000s my dad owned a 28 foot eliminator speed boat, it had a 502 with a procharger.. firing that beast up and just putting out of the dock it sounded wild..

he will now i bet , but remember its a little money tied up /brodix,dart aluminum block $4-5K, heads $3K, forged crank $2K,valve train $2-3K , set pistons $2K , rods $2K just laying around for spare @$16K

@lifehealth489 plus sensors, intake, injectors, etc. figure probably 40k. But when yout racing for a living, having spares to never miss a round is worth it. They are already spending at least 3500 just to show up, be nice if you hurt a motor or had a weird issue and just be able to swap in a known sorted piece and never miss a beat. I definitely dont have 40k laying around, though, haha

Hey Ryan, Left you a comment before on this issue, although the fix is probably good enough ! I would still stick to using nptf threaded pipe plugs into the head as they will have better pressure on the aluminum side and can still be simply threaded 7/16" to fix the rocker stands? I've done two sets of Brodex heads this way over a season ago without one insert pulling out. Just some advise from a machinist who has been down the repair hole on a few engines over the past.

I retorque the heads pretty regularly and that requires me to do lash again sense the rocker rails have to come off. When I do retorque them and bolt everything back together the lash doesn’t change more than one thou

Ahhh, ok, too long a cam synch bolt, not a crank walking issue, totally on the other end. Yup, that would by the why! Good find. And easier to make and find mistakes as you build it instead of buying it.
