Eileen, I really like your shoe collection! I think your burgundy Valentino flats would look fantastic with so many of your neutral-colored outfits! I also love the Acne boots and the over-the-knee boots on you. Since I have a very hard time finding footwear that fits my feet, so I am envious of women who can wear beautiful shoes.

Hello Eileen, I was in Singapore in December and I bought there the Oran sandals from Hermes, I was very happy because it fits perfectly. I used to have always these gaps problems with the sandals, when I tried it at the Hermes stores in Europe.

I agree with you 100 percent I bought an Hermes brown sandals yes they are chic and really elevate your wardrobe, they were very uncomfortable and I ended up consigning it and will never but another. My Manolah Blahnik flat sandals in brown are just chic and very usable.

Happy Sunday, Eileen. I adore the kitty flats. They look so good on you. I have always loved shoes. Comfort is my number one priority as well. At 66 years old, I avoid heels. I need to go through my collection so that I can minimize the number of shoes and boots that I have. The only designer shoes I have are the Golden Goose sneakers. I really like them and they are oh so comfortable.

Hello dianecyment1715, I’ve been eyeing the golden goose for some time but I’ve to buy them online which for me is an ordeal! Have you had to size up? Are they true to size? I’ve a slim foot but to the wider side, widish, so often a problem.

@@Dropthesoapto I went to their store here in Scottsdale. It is hard to buy shoes online. They run true to size, but I had to break them in for a few weeks before they became very comfortable. I hope this helps.

Hello Eileen, in my opinion your burgundy flats are keepers, they are so beautiful and fit perfectly in your wardrobe. Now….the the ugly truth…. The vans….hummmm. I’ve a suggestion, since when you go for sneakers you want comfort, Softinos is my brand when I’m going sightseeing, I will stand on my feet all day long several days and not a blister no scratching, no breaking in period, nothing, I own several and if the brand closes doors I’m sure I’ll feel suicidal. It’s delicate and low-cut toe sneaker with very comfy, supple leather and space in the front for all the toes and not just a few! Summer ones even have holes to stay cooler, has enough sole support and the price is accessible. Don’t get mad about the Vans. 😜

Eileen To me you are not really a minimalist per se. In fact I like.that you are v intentional when you shop. Justifying before every purchase the question whether they will be worn regularly before pulling the trigger. Your collection is well curated and balanced. Enjoying the luxury items and regularly using them. I have seen so many influencers buying for the sake of buying and soon get tired of them and at the end never ever wore them once. Such sheer waste of money. The biggest winners are the fashion houses. You are smart in managing your finances without going overboard over luxuries.

This is NOT minimalist at all!!! Total maximist. Its great you're trying but you spend way too much Money. A true minimalist would have total 2-3 pairs only. Your closet looks like a superior $$$$ of tons of stuff

You can learn a lot about a man or woman by their choice of footwear.. Same goes for a watch ... Anyone waring The ugly Birkenstock make me cringe .... Dr SHOOL is way better as home or beach shoes.... Xtra flat are bad for the feet..( The classless H -Oran sandals...or copies !.). Leather is the only acceptable material.for shoes ... Maintaining your feet in good shape and health is premordial for older years...

I felt the same way about Birkenstock sandals, but I tried them and have had mine for several years. I think they add a stylish edge with the right outfit. They are also so comfortable and easy to just slip them on.
