This song is part of our family now. We hear my 5 year old at random times singing the Puddles version of this song, reveling in the "work sucks" part, singing his 5 year old heart out. He slumps over for most of the song, then somehow emerges from his malaise at the right time, voice booming in kindergarten frustration. He gets it. Puddles ‘ voice is powerful and soothing. Great version of the song. So clean and the range is fantastic. You hit the highs and lows flawlessly. The end of the song is really fitting. You blew the song out of the park and you felt like you were getting nowhere so you gave up on finishing it then to boot your band walked out on you and left you in the dark. No wonder why you’re a sad clown. I really hope you make it in the world. No one deserves it more than you.

The Sad Clown's baritone is great in this piece. Scott Bradlee deserves a medal ---I love the arrangements, and I think the medal is for bringing so many talented and hard-working entertainers together and to us out here to make our hearts sing with the beauty of the whole thing! There's nothing like heart-felt music to make us Sad Clowns feel alive again! Especially when such a talented Sad Clown is doing the singing, with such great backup!
