A brilliant version that, from now on here in the UK, will always remind me of Christmas, thanks to the 2022 John Lewis Christmas TV Ad. 😀
@romakhan98022 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't it be awesome if it became Christmas number 1? Puddles would finally get the justice his voice deserves. It's been a very long time that we've had a memorable Christmas track. Rarely hear covers beating an original but this is spectacular.

This song is so well done that after the closing of the final few seconds where the music cuts out into silence (I love that *sigh* by Puddles, it seals the hopelessness theme for me) I feel I need to call the suicide hotline for the first and last time. Great job, I love the brooding/melancholy vibe over the happier-go-lucky original by Blink-182. This music makes me feel in a feel-less world. Thank you for this version.

As always, phenomenal music by PMJ and Puddles Pity Party - great work by the backup and instrumentals. They complemented Puddles Pity Party's incredible range very nicely. Also, I like how everyone leaves at the end while Puddles Pity Party stays. Not only is it interesting cinematography, but I can't help but wonder if it's also an intentional inversion of his first appearance, wherein at the end of the song he abruptly left while everyone else stayed behind.

Has an almost Rocky Horror feel to it! EDIT: I wasn't even thinking about a PMJ Rocky Horror Album, but, uh, yes please! We could even have a different lead singer for each song, or an alternative idea: each character has the same singer for each individual song! It could stand along as it it's own album/tour in October!
