Yes, 100%. I loved the song when I was younger too, but as you get older and wiser you learn to appreciate real musical depth and beauty . Adulthood is a wonderful thing. I still love Blink 182, but now they just seem like shallow punk kids to me, especially when contrasted to this song.

@@Fierysaint1 listen to their self titled album and not just the hits even on the enema of state album you get songs like Adam’s song which is a song about suicide and really captures the emotions and heartbreak of the subject and you will see they aren’t just shallow punk kids some of their earlier stuff was like that because they were young kids.

This song is part of our family now. We hear my 5 year old at random times singing the Puddles version of this song, reveling in the "work sucks" part, singing his 5 year old heart out. He slumps over for most of the song, then somehow emerges from his malaise at the right time, voice booming in kindergarten frustration. He gets it. We've been to a few PMJ concerts and I don't recall any Puddles covers, but I would love to hear someone on the road give it a try. Maybe Maiya Sykes!

Puddles ‘ voice is powerful and soothing. Great version of the song. So clean and the range is fantastic. You hit the highs and lows flawlessly. The end of the song is really fitting. You blew the song out of the park and you felt like you were getting nowhere so you gave up on finishing it then to boot your band walked out on you and left you in the dark. No wonder why you’re a sad clown. I really hope you make it in the world. No one deserves it more than you.

The Sad Clown's baritone is great in this piece. Scott Bradlee deserves a medal ---I love the arrangements, and I think the medal is for bringing so many talented and hard-working entertainers together and to us out here to make our hearts sing with the beauty of the whole thing! There's nothing like heart-felt music to make us Sad Clowns feel alive again! Especially when such a talented Sad Clown is doing the singing, with such great backup!
