Can we all please take a moment to simply recognize the fact that we now live in a culture where a small band with a clown in a suburban house can get 7 million views and it is in no way considered odd.

wow, an entire year has passed since i watched this first. I still cruise youtube looking for the latest puddles posting and see how much has happened in a year. This group PMJ and Puddles came at a very good time in my life and gave lift to a tough time. Puddles gave me a place to put my sad and also an avenue to see the beauty of that important and necessary emotion. Instead of dwelling on the sad i see how transformation can come through perseverance and process and having the sound of Big Mikes voice gives power to these actions. Thank you Puddles, Scott and all the musicians that made this happen.

I'm back after enoying this video 10 years ago and I STILL get chills when I hear this version of Royals. It is SO much better than the original. Scott Bradlee, you created an outstanding composition of Royals and your piano playing certainly sets the drama and pacing for this amazing version. Bravo. Lordes should come to you for career advice.

THIS is what a cover is supposed to be. The key change makes it so much happier than the original, but puddles is a clown, and therefore inherently tragic, but he's got a sensational voice! A beautiful reinterpretation of a brilliant pop song.

I love puddles. What I love about this performance (correct me if I’m wrong) is that while the other covers I’ve seen seem mournful and full of regret, this one seems mocking and filled with displeasure, like a breaking point. It fits his act so well, amazing as always ♥️

The one word I continue to see in these posts is "mesmerizing". That is exactly the same word I was saying to myself as I watched the first videos a few days ago. Puddles is absolutely mesmerizing! I haven't been this excited about an artist since I was a teenager! His voice is so soulfully deep with a richness I haven't heard in a long time. I love watching the full performance from his music to his facial expressions and hand gestures. The arrangements are masterful. It is apparent that Puddles is outrageously talented, but with a kind and gentle spirit. I keep coming back for more and can't seem to get enough. I hope he goes far beyond America's Got Talent. I just don't want the future to ruin what I am seeing hear. He is genuine!

I took care of dying parents in Fl. Had relatives who offered advice but no help. Jeb defunded any state respite so I got exhausted 24/7 and went nuts. But I still had to care for them so I just put one foot in front of another, nuts or not. They passed and I eventually went sane again.
