Yeah, I first saw this several years ago and have been a fan of P3 ever since. And then this was the song that Simon buzzed on AGT in 2017 (the man just doesn't like clowns, but it is hard to beat a cute and talented kid when the viewers are the ones voting). I have listened to the original. I just have to say that THIS version sounds soooo much better. Lorde has a nice voice, don't get me wrong. But Puddles just kills this songs. This arrangement just works better.

When Big Mike becomes puddles. it seems to have the same kind of effect on him as it does when Paul Stanley become the Star Child. I've seen Lorde now and I've been able to compare both doing this live, simply, Puddles has a much stronger stage presence. I'm also not that impressed with Lorde's singing, personal preference I suppose.
