Not much luck involved here besides getting a position on the 2, very doable shot albeit very difficult (especially against Shane). Biado is one of the best, if not the best, on Earth rn

No luck at all. Only way he wasn't getting shape was if he landed right on top of the 2 ball, which would have been crazy unlucky.

Why would you use a rail to make that shot? It requires MUCH more cue angle than the rail alone can provide. Thats the reason he elevated his bridge hand on the rail. Notice his cue is 50°+ and he is hitting down on the cueball. It would not be possible (on a 9' table) to draw that much with a level cue off the rail. Especially, when the cue ball is so close to the rail.

It's slightly easier with new cloth, but you still have to hit that shot perfect.
