My funniest cruise story. 30 years ago my 'wildman cousin' and his wife went on a Caribbean cruise. By surprise he ran into 2 high school friends with their wives on this same cruise! There was a big storm and Captain's orders were that all were to stay inside. But my 'wildman cousin' and his 2 friends decide not to listen. Taking their drinks, they go outside. They are all alone, make their way to the upper deck jacuzzi. Since they're alone, they strip off their clothes and sit in the jacuzzi. The storm is blowing all around, my cousin is loving it. All of a sudden, a gust of wind blows their clothes off into the void. They manage to find an employee staircase (I'm sure cruise employees see all kinds of wild behavior) and make their way back to their staterooms. My cousin's wife thought it funny, but the one guy's wife locked him out of their stateroom. He wound up staying with the other couple.

We had just gotten on a Celebrity ship (hadn’t even left the dock) and went to the MDR to see where our table was located.There was a man ranting at the maitre d about the location of his table. And I mean RANTING. Very loud. The man was deranged. We walked past him into the dining room to find our table. When we came out, 2 security guard were literally CARRYING this man away in handcuffs. That night, we asked the maitre d what happened and he told us “The passenger and his party were no longer on the ship”. Good for them! I can only imagine the scenes this guy would have made during the cruise.

Long time cruisers here, over 40 cruises in 30 years. Never experienced any of these problems so far. Of course, they are all obvious to most of us but happy not have witnessed public disorder/stupidity. We have another cruise coming up in 18 days and one in February and one just purchased for 2026 Copenhagen / Baltics. Thanks for the video.

I have a bag that I use for hunting excursions. I used he bag for travel and realized after a round trip flight that I had probably 15 loose 9mm bullets in a pocket of the bag. What alarms me is that TSA didn’t detect them through my entire travels.

Celebrity cruise line only has smoking in 3 small spaces and they are all outdoors. There is no smoking in the casino so if you are offended by smoke this is a great line to sail with.

@ my Doctor has actually prescribed me Tylenol 3s for the pain because it gets THAT bad sometimes. The CBD cream makes it so that I don’t have to take the Tylenol 3s on a regular basis. I may have to stock up on those & pack stacks of pain creams instead.😭

I've seen one of these issues: A man thought his mother was being disrespected by another passenger in the buffet line and a fight broke out. Of all things, this was on a Princess ship and I've never seen such behavior again. I did hear that a fight broke out on the Icon of the Seas within the last week or so. It was a great big brawl and it was reported that it took about 30 minutes to bring everyone under control. I think the reporter called the Icon of the Seas the next Carnival. lol! I just spent 2 weeks on the Sun Princess and after leaving Port Everglades about 2 hours out, a middle aged disabled man in a scooter hit the reverse by mistake and went straight down one of the main grand staircases in the Piazza. He and the scooter tumbled over and over all the way down to the bottom. It was such a bad fall, it shattered the last step of the staircase. Blood was everywhere and it was determined that we had to go back to Port Everglades as the man needed far more care than the ship could provide. I sure hope he is OK. I travel on a scooter too, and can't imagine having such a horrible accident.

The cruise we were on last October in the North Atlantic, ended up kicking off 45 passengers because they were pooping in the hallways, urinating in the open areas, and eating with their hands from the buffets and then spitting food back in the buffets.

I am aware of passengers (I think two or three) being kicked off of a cruise that I was on. It was the Celebrity Summit somewhere in the Caribbean. The cruise ran from March 12 to March 19, 2016. The ship was chartered by Atlantis Cruises. BTW, nobody under 21 was allowed on that cruise, so we can rule out giving drinks to underage persons as the reason.

There was an elderly lady approximately 80 that was in passenger "jail." The security sat outside her room until we got to port two days later. I asked my cabin attendant who said she got into a fight. This was a small lady, I am guessing maybe fighting over a slot machine?? The other person involved apparantly was also in passenger "jail' on another deck. This lady was in the cabin next to me. Just funny not much happens on Celebrity or they take care of things before they get out of hand?

RCI security took my open “Birthday Cake” popcorn. You are not allowed to bring open food through the line. I found this to be a little ridiculous. I was actively eating it and I also had to throw my water away. I had one sip. 🙄

@Lela, L🩵VE NCL! Just got back from my 30yr anniversary cruise w hubby to Bermuda for the week. It was our 4th cruise on NCL & we’ve never had a problem. It is a bit more expensive than other cruise lines, but we love the food, the employees & our balcony room. Have a wonderful time!!💙🤍💙

I saw a fight before. Two women, no one else was around. I went a deck down to report it at the guest relations desk. I made the white shirt employee come with me. Finally when he saw them he got on his radio to report it to security. There were hair pieces, face masks, a bra, shoes laying all over. There was even a male employee hiding in the bathroom nearby. He peeked out and saw them still fighting so he shut the door again.

Even products that contain a completely harmless, non-recreational version of the product you mentioned are banned. The thing is, there are so many versions of this product that it’s virtually impossible for security staff to be able to identify what particular version of the product you have. So, even if you have a legally-prescribed, entirely harmless medication, leave it at home. Also, depending on the countries you visit, your legal-at-home and entirely harmless product could see you serving 10 to 20 in a less than salubrious penal institution if you took it ashore.

I don't think I've seen any of the things you've mentioned. But I can see why most, if not all, of them could get you kicked off a cruise ship. There may be a couple that, on a first and minor offense, might get you a slap on the wrist and/or a warning. That would be at the captain's discretion, of course.

I think I’ve either been pretty lucky or these things don’t happen as often as social media would like us to think because I haven’t seen or heard of any of these things happening on any cruise I’ve been on. I’ve seen annoying behavior but nothing serious . Maybe the worse behavior I’ve seen is what I would call “frat bro” behavior from college age passengers by beings excessively loud.

I'm about to get off the Princess Majestic Cruise. This was my first curise experience. I didn't like any of these places in Mexico except Lorento, MX. Just FYI, I'm an introvert. Lorento, MX, was since because visiting the island alone was cool imo. My cabin was great since there was no lighting inside and just darkness. Ordering food....you can't order water to your cabin. It is just unorthodox as heck... I would say that though the cabin place was at a bad spot since it was at the bow of the ship. So I was extremely sea sick and depressed. I found the food very depressing since it was the same every day. I'm willing to go on another cruise again. Maybe for introverts. I doubt something like that exists. Yeah....

Hi Alana, I was on a Thanksgiving cruise and I got a verbal warning on something that was not allowed and this was while I was watching a show in the main theater on the Carnival Panorama and the show was called celestial strings. The verbal warning that I got is that I was not allowed to applaud with a flashing light stick and that I was asked by a crew member to turn it off. In that case it would not be cause to get kicked off a cruise ship since it was only creating a minor distraction during a show.
