Your MIDI video still managed to have lots of lovely sounds! I'm a longtime Morningstar user so nothing new here for me, but I like seeing how other people use the MC6 Pro. Another function I don't think you discuss is the ability to route an expression pedal to any MIDI cc controllable pedal parameter. For me, that means having one expression pedal that can switch from basic volume swells to wah to tremolo to weird multi-parameter sweeps with just a preset change.

Definitely worth returning to! the MIDI expression capabilities are their own complete world to explore

I'm so glad I saw this comment before watching the video, expression routing is what I was hoping to hear about 😂

It´s such a deep topic and you doesn´t failed to put it to my understandings!!! There are so many possiblities really, so whenever I need to get my board ready to play live and need to create specific combinations of pedals and presets, it´s a video I have to return to. Thanks for putting up the hard work!

I love that you already know SO much more about this than I do. Killer

I can't imagine this is true, but I did do my homework for a while before putting this together

Literally just got my MC6 Pro the other day so this is perfect timing. I’ve had the MC8 for a while and I love it but the connectivity, multitude of presets, and better screens finally sold me. Thanks for posting!

That’s awesome!

@@signalpath one of my main use cases is integrating multiple loopers (Microcosm, LVX, Aeros, and even my SP-404MKII) so I really appreciate the insight into your approach. Thanks again! 🙏🏻

Love Signal Path and Love Morningstar controllers! 90% of the midi boards I’ve set up have used their devices and I love how user friendly they are. I do a lot of midi consults and these are so much easier to explain and use than the alternatives out there.

It's crazy how Morningstar has managed to hit the sweet spot of relatively easy to use for beginners but also the deepest programming options of all the MIDI controller pedals.

You helped me get settled a ton with the whole process. Definitely something that asks you to learn a little about its thought process before it unlocks a much wider world of possibilities for you

I have a Volante, been looking at controllers for a while. The MC6 pro is that one I think I need.

It works super well together for sure! Definitely makes it easy with the MIDI dictionary too!

Thank you so much for this, I’m currently building a mothership board (just to say I did it once in my life), with both big box Meris pedals, Microcosm, Mood ii and a Synesthesia amd it’s starting to get a little overwhelming! The MC-6 Pro is next on my list (or maybe the rumoured MC-8 Pro…)

If you check forums, the MC8 pro is 100% in the works so I'd hold off if that's where your set at. For me, 6 foot switches is plenty but I get the temptation haha

Interesting! Has Morningstar confirmed it? I haven't heard anything!

It's absolutely confirmed. There's pictures of the prototypes for the MC8P & MC4P on the Morningstar forum.

Noob question. Did you program your banks and presents first on the Mc pro6 by itself? Or did you need to have the whole board connected to start programming as you go?

Hi, can I plug analog pedals with TS connection into the omniports to activate and deactivate them? I would love to use them this way with this product without connecting other peripherals.
@signalpath2 ай бұрын
TS connection for MIDI yes, if you're looking to use something to bypass a non-midi pedal you would need their companion ML5/ML10X which seem very user friendly and are designed to work with the MC6 PRO but the MC6 wouldn't do that on it's own
