To all those who suffered on this earth including my mother with Cancer, my sweet dog, and my nephew who passed away at a young age , those who believe in Christ, He will make all things new

Wow what an absolutely beautiful song! I’m a recovering drug addict for over 20 years by the grace of Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ I’ve got over 3 1/2 years clean. He has made me whole and new. Ive been able to love, laugh, and cry with those that suffer and grieving it’s because of him that I’m so blessed. He really loves us all so much and just as the prodigals he really can make a mess and turn it into a message. I love him and will always praise his name. Keep playing beautiful music like this. So spiritual. Thank you so much for the inspiration❤

This randomly popped up on my recommended tonight. It is almost midnight. Not two hours ago I found out that someone my family and I were very close to passed away. He is in heaven now, hugging his friends and his family, meeting God. His suffering (he had been suffering for months) is finally over. God has made him new. As He will make all things new. Grateful for this beautiful song. Hope everyone has a great day, love to you all.

Your letter to the composer made an impract on me. I worked for 24 years with a man with whom I never spoke a word of faith. I was fearful of him. To see him in heaven and share all the joys of missed opportunities with him, and to think of all the joys of heaven, will mean so much more than these pictures reflect. I hope to meet him again. And the MUSIC!! Roger from VA.

I had the amazing opportunity to sing this song for Easter Sunday. Probably my favorite piece I've sang for a church service. Man was it hard to hold it together while spreading the news that everything will be made new due to Christ's atonement. The peace I felt every time I practiced it is something I hope everyone can feel in their life. To anyone who reads this, I hope you understand the truth and importance of these words. I hope you can find peace in them, and I know if you reflect on these words and honestly and earnestly pray, you will know these words are true. Revelation 21:4-6 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

We all have something painful in our memories, but we can leave them behind - not by our own strength or will power, but in “His grace”. I am grateful to Elaine Hagenberg, and to the Holy Spirit, for this beautiful and comforting song.

Completely new to me - but Elaine Hagenberg is a genius. How can anyone put together such a strong and beautiful set of pieces? A great discovery. I thought that Morten Lauridsen was great But EH is a staggering composer.

Just heavenly. This song reminds me of "As Water to the Thirsty" and "As the Bridegroom to his chosen" which you all might enjoy as well, but I love that this has the unique message of not only will good things come after all the pain but He is making ALL things new.

About to start teaching this to my high school mixed choir. Covid-19, the year spent looking at my students through a screen, the loss of two choir directors (my assistant and one of my feeder school directors) in one year, the miscarriage of mine and my wife's first child... rebuilding a choir program from the ground up again after getting it to such great heights over the previous 6 years... there is so much pain I have yet to process over the last two years. A part of me is still trapped back there walking around in a dark room. I wanted to leave the profession to the fill the void but I somehow can't bring myself to it. The musical setting of this text gives me hope to keep going. He will wash away these tears and make all things new.

I just recently lost my Mom. Every time I hear this song I think about her because so much of it reflects her life. In many ways her life was not happy. Sometimes it was due to her own choices and other times it was due to circumstances beyond her control. It is such a comfort to me so now that she knows the meaning of the song better than any of us ever will in this world. Now my Mama knows the real meaning of peace after pain and joy after sorrow. Elaine let me say thank you for the gift that you have given me through this song. It's a blessing to me in ways that I can't begin to describe. And for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I bought this from JW Pepper for my choir to sing Easter Sunday. This to borrow another persons comment , "exquisite." The long vocal phrases contrasted with a perpetual motion style accompaniment is beyond brilliant. The first time I heard this I literally cried for several minutes Reminded me of what Jesus did for me on the cross...even without a direct reference to it. How she can top this piece I just don't know. Truly a masterpiece that should be in every churches choral library

This beautiful piece randomly popped up in my KZbin playlist as I was walking one day, forcing me to stop and get my phone out of my pocket so I could read the lyrics and see who composed it. I sent it to our church choir director and we are singing it in March in memory of my dear mother who passed away on November 30, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Thank you for speaking to my heart. ♥️🙏
