Thanks for this video! 👍 A few years back, i had the 13" version, and over time i learnt that it wasn't the best size for me. The straps were too short and narrow and was uncomfortable when the bag was fully loaded. I look forward to trying out the 15" and 17" sizes 👌

Yes, I had the same issue with the 13" so I gave it away. The 15" is perfect, the 17" has extra strap length for me

That's great! I'm using the 15" on this 3 month trip in SE Asia, bought a couple more shirts from Muji so it's a pretty tight fit now, but still fine.

@@TheKZbinAlchemist I will try to use my 17" this Easter Week but not with Ryan or Wizz Air😅. Honestly the 15" was perfectly fit in their measurements stand at the airports (no extra drinking bottles on the side)

Thanks for the nice video. I am using a 30L roller for now that fully loaded is usually around 8.5Kgs (6Kgs of net stuff). If you were able to fit 10Kgs in the 15", I think it's worth a try for me to fit my 6Kgs in it. I am afraid the 17" would be too big for my local airlines. Can't wait for your 17" video. Wow, that's pretty light for a 30L roller. I'm currently using the 15" not even fully stuffed and I'm at 8.5kg, but that's with a MacBook Air 13"

My favorite thing about these bags is the durable ykk double zip on the main compartment. With the issue of pickpocketers I fully intend to lock the zippers together while walking around since it will be behind my back. 1 main locked compartment means I'm a very annoying mark.for any quick theif.

it's a bit over most personal item limits, but maybe if they don't measure and you don't pack it full. I couldn't get it fully under the aisle seat in an Aeromexico plane last month, it stuck out a little, middle or window seat may have fit, the aisle was pretty skinny under the seat

17inch version is listed as 42x30x18cm on their website, if those measurements are accurate then it should be perfectly fine with any airline for a personal carry size backpack. Budget Asian and European airlines usually go for 40x30x20cm on their websites for a personal item bag but their sizer bins at the airports are usually 1-2cm larger than that. How was your experience with the 17, any issues on your trip? I'm looking for a 42x30x20cm bag, trust me when I say it is not an easy task. This is the closest I've come across so far.

It's a little too deep to fit under some seats. Last time I flew Aeromexico with it and had to hide it with my feet since it was sticking out a lot. The 15" i usually never have an issue fitting under the seat.

The 15 for sure, except if you stuff it and the outer pocket, could be height issues. The 17 is ok most of the time, but totally stuffed it might be an issue.

It's a mix of both, 17" is Super Grey, 15" is Graphite, can't remember which one the 13" is

I got the Super Grey, I know it will get dirty easier than Graphite, but I liked the color more, I just hated the bluish tint of the Graphite.

It all depends how much you need to carry. Usually I use the 15 or 17, but lately I've been traveling pretty light so I'm using the 15

I'm never pay attention to this. after review the laptop dimension on the kanken laptop 17 specs, the size is : 41 x 27 x 3 cm and compare to my laptop dimension 41.6 x 28.1 x 2.94 cm. Todd, would a Macbook Pro 13" fit into the 15" Bags laptop compartment with a laptop sleeve on it ? ( Also do you think that the 15" bag would fit well under the seat ) ?

Yes, that would fit with a sleeve, there's a lot of room in the 15" laptop compartment. It fits under most airplane seats, there were a couple that had very limited height clearance, way lower than normal, so I couldn't get it all the way under when it was fully packed, but enough. Just don't stuff the outer pocket too much and you should be fine.

I had to return the 13”, I’m 6 feet and 200 pounds and the regular kanken works fine, but the 13 was too short in the straps, especially if I was wearing a jacket. I am awaiting the 15” laptop. Are the straps bit more comfortable on the 15? Thanks for this video, very helpful!

Yeah, the 13" is made for probably 160 lbs or less, I couldn't use it comfortably either. The 15" was fine for me with the straps fully extended, teh 17" has a little extra straps.. Hope it works for you!

Interesting note, the original Kanken classic also fits me fine and holds a lot, even my 13” MacBook Air with a sleeve fits in the classic. The 15 and the classic both fit a similar amount of stuff, the but I do like the padded straps and extra laptop area in the 15 and theres a bit more room than the classic. My next splurge will probably be the 17”. Lol. I love these bags!

I think I would prefer the biggest one for travelling and not filling it 100% if flight rools do not accepte big bag . As it is soft we can squeeze it;)

Yes, I'm traveling with the 17 on this 3 month trip. I have it about 90% full, it's nice not to have it totally stuffed like the 15 was on the last trip. I still need to make more room though to have it squeezable
