I've read 3. Fire, graceling and perks of being a wallflower. Fire and graceling are some of my favorite books. But I wasn't to fond off perks of being a wallflower. There are others on this list that I have on my TBR though

They Both Die at the End is one of my favorite books. It's the first book that's ever made me cry, and listening to you talk about it almost made me cry again tbh....

There's so many great standalone titles you list here, and really, I'm hoping to see an uptick in standalone YA titles, particularly in YA Fantasy. I have a hard time in following series that take awhile between each book being published, so it's nice to have a story contained within a single volume. :)

yesss i absolutely loved everyday! i understand the reactions of the underwhelmed but like you said the concept and the writing were both so personally captivating to me. i think it was something about how existential it all was. i borrowed it from the school library before i even knew it was gonna be a movie (that i didn’t watch 😂) but i definitely need my own copy for my collection 😩

It’s been so long since I’ve read Graceling and Fire! I really liked both, though I generally prefer Graceling if I had to pick one. And I also quite enjoyed The Sun is Also a Star! I thought it was so well done. And Fangirl was delightful, and still my favorite Rowell read!

I really loved Every Day as well. The follow up (Any Day) was such a disappointing, though. Turtles All the Way Down was very good. I was very disappointed by The Fault in Our Stars, but Turtles... was really good. The Hate U Give has been on my TBR for ages. I hope to get around to it in 2020. Fangirl was such a fun read! I enjoyed this video, might look into some of the books I haven't read.

If you love A Thousand Nights, you should read The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. It isn't a standalone. The second book is called The Rose and the Dagger, but it's also a retelling of A Thousand and One Arabian Nights. I absolutely loved it!!!

Did you read Bitterblue in the Graceling "series"? I loved Fire and Graceling a lot more, but it was interesting to read more of that world.

I havent finished warbreaker by brandon sanderson but from your description of a thousand nights they definitely have some similarities in them.

I really LOVED graceling but was definitely disapointed by fire. I couldn't finish it and it made me not want to read bitterblue. The characters seemed so much less deep and the story wasn't as interesting. What was great about graceling was the character connections which fire really lacked.

I’d add A List Of Cages, written by Robin Roe, and This Is What It Feels Like, written by Rebecca Barrow, to this list :) they’re both contemporary stand-alones.

i love books that are the same world but about different characters. the outsiders by s.e hinton is one of my favourites and she overlapped into that was then this is now and it was great!

Omg, about every day by David Levithan, I really liked the book and yeah, I thought the ending was sad, but for once, it didn't keep me from really liking it and trust me, I saw the movie and it was really well done, it's worth it, there are even some things that I preferred in the movie ;) I'm usually very critical about book-to-movie adaptations, but I liked that one

So i ve read everyday and i ve wached the movie and i prefer the movie because i ve hated A in the book like i didn t understand the romance and i though he was a bit toxic cause he was always talking about what he feel without asking himself if the girl like him too and also the moment when he was in the body of a fat person was really body shaming him wich made me feel so bad Also i ve read fangirl, i did like it cause you know i ve felt so related with cath ( i write fanfiction and i have a cousin that have the same age and some years ago she started having new friends and all those stuff and i was so sad and then my bestie has a very special character, she's like the rommate of cath
