They all look great to okay by themselves, but this is the game where Soejima got lazy and made literally every evolution a palette swap of their initial Persona. He started with it in P3, but only in certain cases, and I thought he finally let it go by P5, but of course not. They look so shitty. Kaneko didn't have this problem, literally all of P2's Personas are wholly unique in their evolutions.

@@manuelmateo3392 Personas in P2 were sprites. Personas in P4, on the other hand, all have 3D models and the game had a small budget so, of course, they'd have to cut corners. Video game designers can't just draw whatever they want and expect modelers to put them in. It's not being lazy, it's working within limitations. Kaneko also makes a ton of palette swaps in games where all demons are rendered in 3D.

That is an interesting analysis, I knew part of the mythological stuff but the part about Naoto or Teddie it really had surprised me. I think that a character that should have been taken in consideration even if she isn´t a party member is Marie by her ties with Izanagi too. SPOILER I think that her dungeon is a representation of Izanagi and Izanami´s story. She is going to die, Yu goes to the tomb to save her, he discovers that she is a monster but this time she is brought back instead of being abandoned. Yep I know it has nothing in reference to the 3rd personas but I love how the story ties everybody with the MC.

Don't worry Marie has her own segment going fully into this and her character. Her dungeon, boss, social linl etc - but yeah she doesn't have a persona so including her here doesn't make sense. The other forms of the maincast's personas are also given in their respective character segments

My favorite persona in the series is Izanagi, but I always laugh at the fact that because of his design many japanese fans call the protagonist of 4 "Banchou" as in a gang leader type of way. I myself thought he looks more like a male oendan (cheerleding squad) member with his white hachimaki and black gakuran paired with the fact that Konohana Sakuya looks like a Cheerleader, the female counterpart to the male oendan clothing. Izanagi is the male to Izanami's female after all.

These vids remind me of SnicketySlice's ultimate persona compendium series, a lot more depth than the surface level game/story analysis that informs me of all the stuff I wish I knew about the game's background. Probably the best P4 analysis I've seen on this site

These videos are great however I think dropping as one big vid maybe on the day of persona 4 release on all console will net you the most views, but yeh one big vid would make me more likely to watch through, just one flow, set it and forget it i guess. I believe you used some characters' 2nd tier personas instead of 3rd tier. For example, You used Rakuten Maoh for Kanji, but his 3rd persona is Takeji Zaiten

That's something I mention in Yukiko's and the protagonists parts. Yosuke, The protag, Yukiko, and Kanji's 3rd forms are simply more formal sounding, less common names for their second forms. But mythologically they are the same being. Yosuke goes from Susano to Susano'o- the o is for extra formality and denoted greater godliness but basically they mean the same and thry both refer to Susano
