@@sctovadc Because each skin from the original are different worlds of a character, through different ideas there must be different builds of what each character design does to make it feel different. It's like wearing baggy clothes to only feel slim and look slim. Instead of baggy clothes should feel more poofy and looks bigger. For Creator Viktor and Pysops Viktor, the idea is that it's a punk aesthetic where things are exaggerated big and clunky. Now the new VGU doesn't do it justice if a slim robot that moves smoothly while the rest of the world is all clunky and imperfect, it looks out of place. It's like putting a bright yellow jacket on and then you had a hole on it and patched it with a navy-blue patch on it. It looks out of place.

this rework makes him look more like a hwei skin than Viktor. Doesn't feel like technology, doesn't correspond the clunkiness a zaun self taught engineer would have, even the far more technological skins like the creator or psy ops both feel so.... awkward and magic-looking?? also, I know Viktor is sick and all but why does it show so much AFTER his transformation? most problems people have with viktor would likely be fixed simply by adding slightly more mass to his limbs and giving him a more imposing silhouette/idle animation. i don’t hate viktor’s new design at all i think the criticism is largely overblown.

@ i think his base skin looks fine but the textures aren’t as metallic as the show which could be fixed. i also feel like they could have done a better job with translating the skins to fit the arcane design more. the main problem with skins like deathsworn is that they keep the humanoid look that they used to have which doesn’t fit as well with his new design. in general though i think these issues are less about design and more about execution and could be fixed with some feedback

Viktor is the only mage in league I liked, he looked cool, had a cool lore, had cool gameplay, the only thing they needed to do was change his W and add an actual passive post evolutions, now we got a champ that is going to be extremely unpopular, because his mains hated his designs and lack of proper gameplay changes and the people who came from arcane are for sure NOT playing Viktor, people who came from arcane are playing Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn etc...

No, we're complaining because we did watch the Arcane series and are saying Viktor should have just gotten Arcane themed skins like the rest of the cast. What Riot did here is character assassination, just to sell the Arcane watchers on playing League, and trying out a character they'll probably never even play, when they should have been trying to appease their actual core playerbase. Ruining a character for the sake of a 2-season animated series loosely based on your game is not fair to your core base.

imo the old design never matched what the lore was trying to set up for him. the only thing that really screamed "glorious evolution" was the third arm, naturally as humans that would seem more palatable to us, but the stated goal viktor has always had was to transcend what is human, in favor of an overture. this ganglier, uncanny VU was a success in my eyes, might take a long time for people to warm up to it though, which i feel is unfortunate, i was enamored by his splash art and let down heavy when i first played him some 7 years ago. played him ever since however because the kit is just too fun to not play. he isnt the clunky mess of visual clutter that he used to be an i for one can appreciate the vision.
