Morning Star section is wrong. It has the best crowd control out of all the whips besides Kaleidoscope through its very high knockback, long range, very high base damage and very low pierce penalty. Even in spite of its usetime it can heavily damage or simply kill groups of regular mobs with ease (especially when stacked with a whip speed buff) and contribute moderate damage against bosses. In fact Morning Star setups are among the highest DPS pre-Golem options, and with Pumpkin Moon gear they easily kill Master mode EoL in well under a minute, and that's without stacking. Tempest Staff with only Morning Star for example can do it in around 40 seconds when fighting on a mount and assuming you play aggressively. Morning Star is the best whip currently and the one whip you could debate is slightly overpowered right now, and it really shows when content mods like "TRAE" mod introduce new post-Plantera whips only for them to be outshined by Morning Star.

I think this is a testament to how good the devs have gotten at balancing stuff over the years. Except for the basic leather whip, no whip feels like its massively over- or under-performing for its point in the game. We might not have a lot of whips, but the ones we have are all great.

One thing that I really like when playing with summoner is that I can use two weapons for a long time before replacing them with other weapons rather then the usual "haha higher damage = better weapon" the whip effects really make up for it, now imagine how overpowered summoners would be in pvp if minions actually attacked other players(whip stacking go brrrr). (I am a summoner main by the way)

whip stacking is so good, even with just two whips. I always use 1 speed-boosting + damage whip if I have one, absolute shredder. Oh what a delight playing as a summoner is. Only thing comparable is combining DOTs as mage.

EoL is very easy to fight if you figured out her attack patterns. Keep fighting and spawning EoL to practice her at night so that you'd have a chance at getting Kaleidoscope. And Daylight EoL ignores any defense, immunity frames, and dodges so reforge every accessory to menacing and use only damage+ buffs.

@@jeremypanjaitan4039 Nighttime EoL is much more forgiving but she still deals so much damage. Use worm scarf to reduce the damage or use dodge accessories or hallow armor to dodge her attacks. Yes dodges work when fighting EoL but only on nighttime
