From the Azul photographer: "The image, Azul, "Sailing on the Blue Sea”, was made near the Island of Aituatiki (spelled Aitutaki on some maps), 250km north of Rarotonga, Cook Islands in 1991. It was shot on Fuji 50 film. The tiny island pictured is one of many ringing the Aituatiki Lagoon south of the main island. I was a full time stock photographer and half owner of the WestLight stock photo agency out of Los Angeles, USA. I was aggressively hunting for tropical island stock photos on that trip, so I arranged for a private tour of the lagoon in a small boat. That trip was quite productive and easily paid for itself."
