This CAN still be done with up to a max of 5 of an item, you just need to dismount after selling, drop the items, pick them back up, then reperform from the beginning. The information I relied on for this video seems to have come from the fact that Hold Storage still worked, and not from direct confirmation of Vendor Scam testing. I sincerely apologize for the misinformation. All other glitches in the video will work as shown, including Minus Duping.

I tried vendor scamming with diamonds with 17 in my inventory and it didn't work even when the negative numbers showed up (but I was holding 5 after getting off the horse), then I dropped all but 4 and did it and it didnt work either (but I could sell them and get them back). So I just did it several times while only having 5 in my inventory (so dropping the others on the ground before attempting). This lets you sell all 5 and get 5 back (2500 a pop). Don't know if any of this is hepful information. Took me like 20 minutes to hit it the first time now it takes like 2-3 minutes. Kinda fun doing my first intentional glitch in a game after years of watching speedrunners!

MTD still works but you need more height (or maybe extremely good timing). I have found it works from the scaffolding path above the entrance to lookout landing. Setup to throw the item you have 1 of, jump off and hit d-pad up again. Then let go just long enough that Link's arm moves a little forward, then while the arm is still moving press d-pad up again. With that menu still up let go of throw (R), then release d-pad up just long enough that Link's arm is at the back position right before throwing. Then hit d-pad up and drop the item. If too late on the last step it will have already been thrown. Or if too early you may get a "this item can't be taken out here" message. The timing window is small but watching the arm movements helps. You can make the arm movements happen while standing on the ground but it won't allow the glitch. So far, recalling a fragile or exploding item does not seem possible (in normal gravity or at this height), the delay before you can use recall after landing on the ground is too long.

I never abused any glitches in my 190 or so hours I spent in the game but it's always a bit of a shame when they have to patch things like this in single player games. No one would really stumble upon many of these casually/by accident. At least they're still available in older versions if I ever feel like starting a new save and messing around

Thanks for the video. I'm doing the vendor scam glitch, and it's really hard to pull out because it's easy to screw up. Mostly on getting on the horse. You need to be in the perfect position in order for the glitch to work

I finished the main game last week, luckily I got what I needed before the patch, just wish I had maxed out cash and zonite devices. I only looked up item dupe when I was farming Gleeok Guts and Lizard Tails. If they improved item durability and drop rates a lot of people would not bother using these glitches in the first place, the grind is far too much and save spamming gets very annoying.

Hiii! I found a way around! You don't need to do it stricktly jumping back, you can also do it kinda back "side-jumping" off a cliff high enough so you can still throw things to the air. If you are close enough to the void such as an Island in the sky, exploding things such as Dragon parts or Star Fragments can be recalled. I just made a short so you can see it (sorry about the noob play). Hopefully one of the more pro guys can explain this method better lol 😅

I'm still on version 1.0 with the physical cartridge. The dispenser storage glitch is the first item dupe glitch since v1.0 that isn't incredibly tedious. It's still not quite as easy as item duping in 1.0, but I won't mind updating the game now. Thanks for the info.

Midair throw duplication still works to duplicate any item, it’s just slightly more complicated to preform and a little slower due to needing more inputs at more precise times.

Horse glitch can be done by jumping of the ledge holding an apple or some and then midair pauze and do same steps

That last one might be really great for speedrunners as the 3 free zonai wings from the great sky island and pair this with the hydro clipping and you would be able to skip the boss rush just like any% Though for thrown items that break or elementals items once they are in the air you can use recall and they freeze then once you cancel the recall they just drop to the ground without breaking or being used up, at least that is with the old ledge duping glitch which is similar to mid air throw duping but fuckers made it where you can't drop items in mid air. However luckily there is a glitch that re enables you to drop items while in mid air kzbin.info/www/bejne/onvZoZ2gnMyYbKMsi=M9F5410mwojs_cwz Recommended that it is a high spot but if you are fast enough you could probably do it off of small enough ledges

I feel like in every single other video game I’ve played, updates and patches were celebrated and greatly desired. Fixing common issues, things that should work, but didn’t etc. But in TOTK… it’s like “fixed a super minor thing that only happens pretty much never except for that one person. Also, took out every fun glitch.” Like… when is the Master Sword durability issue going to be addressed? I feel like this is a 5 minute fix.

I already made the mistake of updating from 1.0.0 at all, but 1.2.0 does have some of the easiest and most consistent glitches such as MTD (I’ve already gotten 6 full batteries by duplicating large zonaite), vendor scamming (it took a super long time since I only duplicated 15 diamonds using MTD but got max rupees now) and other fun bits. So, I think I will definitely stick to 1.2.0 if possible and keep updates turned off.

Glitches in Zelda games when I was a kid: "Haha look you can walk up the wall between hyrule castle and the fairy fountain" Glitches in Zelda games now: "Stand in a location where the moon is directly overhead and the stars form a perfect triangle with the horizon. Equip Ultra Hand and activate it precisely at the stroke of midnight in-game time. Perform a sequence of erratic movements with the controller, rotating it clockwise three times, then counterclockwise twice, followed by a quick shake. While facing north, throw a boomerang with a mushroom attached to it, then jump exactly 7 times but pause and unpause after the fifth. Navigate to the nearest body of water and swim for precisely 42 seconds, then get out and immediately use Ultra Hand again. As animation unfolds, rapidly tap the left and right trigger buttons alternately until the screen flickers. If performed correctly, the game will spawn a glitched rupee that is worth 23 rupees. Enjoy!"

Note: you *REALLY* don't want to exceed the 21 limit, because the fans will despawn and you'll only have 21 of the item. I had hundreds of items in the dispenser and exceeded the 21 limit which despawn the fans and all my items spilled out leaving me with just 21.

So I recommend only making 15 duplicates and then putting them in the machine. Just to be on the safe side, cuz after you lose hundreds of items a couple of times because your fans despawn, you'd rather take the extra time of a few additional trips.

Recall launch is more of an exploit of physics than a bug, same with wind bombing, in botw if they were to fix that they would need to rewrite the whole physics engine

I can’t do the jump slash cancel no matter how hard I try, I will have my fingers on the buttons ready to release the dpad, then I do the jump slash and menu as fast after switch menu closes, I go to hold my diamonds and hold is greyed out, no matter how many attempts.

Thanks, I appreciate the support! Yes, unfortunately all glitches that relied on interacting with an item as a like-like ate it are patched, which means no more weapon dupe or wst. I believe theres a working theory on a new weapon dupe tho, but im not 100% sure

A day or two ago there was a new system update. I was worried it would update TotK but luckily, it didn't. Just make sure you have it set so your games don't update automatically and you can do the system update without worry of updating your game. A while ago I heard updating any of your Nintendo switch online games (nes, snes, n64, sega, gameboy and gameboy advanced ones). I'm not sure if updating any of them updates TotK so if anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

Guys I have a myth for a weapon dupe it is where you walk of a ledge and have your weapon out and fall into a shock emitter and watch memorys until the weapon leaves your inventory and load the save

I accidentally updated my game when connecting it to the internet just to ckeck on something. 😬 And, thankfully there are some glitches introduced in a new patch that don't exists in 1.0.0, one of them is KnightPohtaytoe's "This glitch shows off Link's SLEEPER BUILD in Tears of the Kingdom" because in 1.0.0, the capsules are foggy, in later versions, they're a bit more transperent.

Did this with diamonds. Followed all the steps correctly but at the part where you sell and the amount goes to negative value, instead of keeping all the diamonds, I lose them all and only have 5 left that I was holding after I jump out of the horse. Everything works, except I don’t keep the diamonds after selling, it’s all gone.

Dispenser and the negative duping seems to have been patched. I discovered that the dispenser in 1.2.1 doesn't save the objects into memory and sticks you with the 21 limit. For the negative duping, the ability to hold has been patched and no longer works.

Considering minus duping 100% still works, I'm inclined to say your dispenser storage observation was other factors and simply confirmation bias

When it comes to the dispenser not working what i do to be safe and usually works for me is this dont duplicate to 21 duplicate to like 15 - 17 i realised everytime i dup till 21 it just despawns the fans also another thing i do to be safe is everytime i put my 15 - 17 items in the dup machine i adjust the fans to be safe it works perfectly for me when i do this so try that if it dont work lmk ill investigate more

I did the jump slash cancel correctly and followed your steps with vendor scamming. But when i sold the items they where gone, i didnt sort it so that cant be the issue.

The item duping glitch in the earlier versions helped me upgrade the of the wild set in a short amount of time, as well as dupe zonai for autobuild. It's going to be very hard to update, even when the DLC hits... :( Still on 1.1.2 There is a clickbait short vid saying in order to downgrade back to 1.0.0, you have to format the switch console, risking all saves from games, including ToTK.

UPDATE!! You can still Use the newest version to throw duplicate , I just did it over and over, Idk why its not working for you but i checked my version and YES! Its 1.2.1, Looking up other videos They have covered it, The only change is you need your hand to start throwing and time it and then immediantly Re pause by pushing UP for item selection and hit X, does not work on explosives

I specifically turned off auto game updates on my switch so I could always stay on ToTK 1.0... Sadly, my switch, which I had since week 1 of the switch's release over 6 years ago, stopped turning on. Fortunately all my save files were backed up to the cloud, but when I redownloaded ToTK on my new switch, it was on version 1.2.1 😢

yo I just found the best duplication glitch 100x easier then the jump slash and almost similar to the one just patched so here it is in order: you need 1 item no more no less, climb a tree or any tall-ish structure, take a weapon out to throw, select item you want to duplicate, now jump off the tree or surface you are on but make sure to jump off backwards, immediately press up on the d-pad, release up on the d-pad, you will then see link do a motion with his arm, after you see his arm move let go of R, hit up on the d-pad again, and you will again have the drop item option. you’re welcome 👍🏻

You're missing the Bow duplication glitch. You need to have your house in Tarrey Town with a bow display room. A way to electrocute yourself as you're displaying the bow. And also armor that makes you shock proof. Either the thunder helm or the rubber armor set. Basically you electrocute yourself as you're placing the item on the display, one flies away and another one ends up on the display and you can pick up both. I don't know If other people know this, but I found this also works with shields. Sadly it doesn't work with weapons... sorta. I was able to find a workaround for this, all you need to do is fuse whatever weapon you want to duplicate to a shield and voila, you can have as many scimitars of the seven as you want, and I also like having many lightscale tridents at hand. The bows are useful for another one that still works, which is duping items in the barrier in between the underground world and the surface with 5x shot lynel bows. The only place to access this is the cave that opens up when you get Mineru's head which is like a tunnel that goes all the way to the underground, you have to be at -160 altitude for it to work. I just gave you the jist of those, I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

The dispenser storage duplication glitch, you said you need to have a horse but show it in the sky islands. Do they get duplicated just by getting deposited, or does it need to be on the ground, and doing the horse jump slash duplication beforehand, or what am I missing?

The issue is even if you disabled auto-updates, sometimes you were forced into updating. My switch did that when I accidentally closed the game. I had turned off auto-updates the night before.

There is a glitch you missed, it’s much easier than minus duping. first, you can only have one one that item in your inventory at a time, jump backwards off a a ledge, while holding that item in the throwing position (high enough to give enough time to react, but not high enough to take damage), when you leave the ground, wait about half a second, then immediately press up while still holding R, let go of up for link’s arm to just slightly move, then immediately press up again, while holding up, release R, then let go of up, and immediately press it again, you should now have the drop option, while holding up, press X and release both buttons at the same time
