Like Joel, not a fan of the “animated faces” tries to make. Joel n I would be 1000% polar opposites on an Eating-Speed timeline bcuz I have always always eaten slowly, “chew your food well before swallowing” still in my mind from childhood. Lol. However, 3yrs ago now I was hospitalized multiple times, in ER multiple times so I’m diagnosed with severe Gastroparesis. My GI doctor says it was started many years back when my general doctor insisted I do Keto diet. I did 2 3month “rounds” of the meal plan to help me lose weight and bring down my blood sugar. It didn’t help bring down blood sugar issues, in fact, my numbers went up due to nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. I had already lost 25-30lbs over a 2-3yr period. I can eat a 3.5oz unsweetened applesauce cup over 30mins to 2hrs bcuz my digestive system is so sensitive to any type of food now. I eat jello, sf pudding, whole milk yogurt, applesauce, things that are soft, easy on my digestion, and digest quickly or the food ferments causes me to puke too. Bcuz of all the intense stomach acid, I’ve lost all my molars. My dentist is a miracle worker at trying to save the real teeth I have left. I watch Joel, Raina, Katina, etc. living vicariously through them all.

Who doesn’t love a good smorgasbord.. yum! Our family had a favorite one when I was growing up. It was Swedish themed and it was owned/ran by an Asian family. People used to find that odd for some reason back in the 70’s but I didn’t. It wasn’t any different than an American family owning a Chinese restaurant in my opinion. Recipes can be followed by anyone and as long as the food is good then you’re in business. They had a difficult start but their delicious food won the crowd over and they are still in business today. 😊 Ohhhh Noooo! Girl, the 5 second rule only applies at home where you know you’re floors are clean. 😂 24:01

Whenever chicken is really good and tasty at a restaurant (or at home for that matter), it's cos it's been salt water brined over night... trust me, it makes more of a difference than any other spices added! For 1 parts of meat I recommend using 2 parts brining liquid and 1 to 1,5 % salt per unit weight of the brining liquid.

To die for. And piggys place south of murfreesboro for BBQ and a woman who made scratch cakes. Have not run into genuine German chocolate cake except for hers. We would order one ahead and take it home. Southern hospitality is real and so are manners from kids.

The video I saw before this was the Vegas Bacchanal buffet. THIS ONE IS INFINITELY SUPERIOR, for all the reasons I wrote about in my Bacchanal comment. You are right about the apple fritters vs. the so-called “beignets” from the Bacchanal. Plus, you’re showing us, not just shoving the food into your Moon Pie hole! All that steam! The incredible crunch of the batter on both the chicken and the catfish! I want the recipe for the cottage cheese that, according to you, tastes like a cloud and like heaven! Thanks to you, I’m gonna try lettuce without dressing, the way I’ve always eaten it with Mexican and Tex-Mex foods. The way you mix different foods in your mouth is very much how I eat, too. But I guess the beets weren’t so good. Darn :( ETA: The Heritage House AYCE buffet is the only one of your non-competition sit downs that I’ve seen so far (just starting) where you cleaned every plate (but you left a little salad on the second-to-last meat plate) - not too shabby! And it says great things about the Heritage House in Nashville! ps. I wonder if the CRUNCH sound from biting into the fried chicken could work effectively as a ringtone …
