Fantastic tutorial! Nick is AMAZING here in the states. You 2 are my favorite SQ guys. Super intelligent. So glad you make videos, my guy! I think Nick will be one of the biggest names in car audio in the next 5 years and Resonix treatment is best period! Cheers! Side note, im a Mechanical Insulator industrial and commercial, i recommended a scalloped dexter knife to cut that thick insulation. You can get off Amazon cheap anywhere from 5 1/2 to 8 inches. Some guys in the trade use boning or filet knives as well..

I like Siless. I used the 3 in 1 and the deadening mat.

I used that too. Worked perfectly

That was good to see. Ive always been a bit confused on some of these products. I have just stuck with "deadener", but now I'll be trying the white stuff.

Why ? It works as a great isolation so thicker would be better

Hey i watched your midrange video. You do prefer a 3"wideband / midbass over a traditional tweeter midrange component set? Man you do great videos. I settled on the lavoce 3" wide band but now wonder how to use it, it looks like they only have 8 ohm
@RAW-CAt14 күн бұрын
8 vs 4 ohm won't matter much for a mid. In most cars a wideband covering the midrange area will sound better than a typical 2way with a tweeter.

Any ideas to stop my rear view mirror from vibrating?
@RAW-CAt10 күн бұрын
Treat the roof. Vibrations are transferred from there. But it's only up to a point, if you have a big SPL system, that is inevitable.

Yo man, All of your video is Great. FULL of information.👍 I wanna know if u can made a video about CLIO Pocket ? and how it result? Really that good? or just only "one says" ?

Unfortunately I cannot allow myself to buy £500+ just for testing and a video. I chose REW because it's free and anyone can use it. I personally am not interested in anything that costs that much money. I am not a professional.

IIRC Gladen or someone makes stiffening sheets, so just a lot thicker aluminium sheets to stiffen e.g. the doors, and then put absorber on top of that.
@Tomzuki.16 күн бұрын
I wouldn't use those sheets for stiffening the whole door, if the panel is super flimsy then some aluminum profile bonded to the panel would work better. Those adhesive aluminum sheets work better for covering any access holes on the inner door panel, which are usually covered just with plastic from the factory. Then on top the aluminum sheet you apply CLD and absortion/isolation material on top of that

Lovely, but you forgot noiseblocker (MLV) 1 of the most important layers to keep sound from entering the cabin.
@RAW-CAt14 күн бұрын
MLV in a car is highly impractical and not that effective.

Hi nerijus, would it be possible to put open cell foam in all my wheel arches underneath the plastic wheel arch trims , just to help reduce road noises coming through or could you recommend anything else. Good luck with the sound treatment. Great video as always.❤
@RAW-CAt16 күн бұрын
It depends how much space you have there. Usually it's very tight. But even 1.5mm CLD and 3mm closed cell foam should reduce the road noise. Would not recommend open cell foam due to potential issues with moisture.
@Tomzuki.16 күн бұрын
Different manufacturers have different products for noise isolation applications. Open cell foam shouldn't be used in wheel arches, you need a waterproof material for that. Closed cell foam mentioned by Nerijus is one option, but I would also recommend products like CTK Block PRO or Comfort Mat Raptor/Titan, which are designed for noise isolation. These are used as a second layer on top of CLD

Hey there, was planning to use Bose companion 3 series 2 satellite speakers as mids for a 3 way car audio setup. If it’s viable would love to see you test out the speakers as they are relatively cheap second hand, these neodymium speakers seem to be a good option. Currently have two non working Bose systems so was thinking about using them
