I don't have bullbar. How to mount on 2024 79 lc aerial??
@1800dontcare4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a 4x4 but I was able to install the antenna using an Antenna Mount that lets me install it on the fender so it’s easy to install just a little less secure but has worked perfectly for me

Hi Justin, if you are looking for a more affordable GME radio, check out the TX3100DP or TX3100VP

HI Guys, I have a GME TX3350 and can't find a function I am looking for which is the ability to Flip Flop between two different channels if it is available. For example, I may be on Channel 18 and want to Flip to Channel 40 then back to channel 18. Is there a function that allows me to do that without having to scroll up and down the channels?

Hi Guys We work in the civil machinery business . Does GME have a hands free headset in place of the Mik so your hands are free to work ie Excavator Grader ect and still communicate. Thanks Wayne

What's with the interchanging of aerial and antenna? Aerials are for receiving like your car radio aerial, antennas are for receiving and transmitting.

With the GME plug and play UHF , is it possible to use it with various aerials when swapping it around different cars?

It is but may need some modifying of the plug itself depending on the ariel / uhf brand :)

Am I able to connect both apps ( connecter and locations apps) with the GME xrs -330c handheld piece or can I only run 1 app at a time? And if I can run both apps how can I connect them using an iPhone NOTE: I have already downloaded both apps.

Hi Melissa, no, not at this stage. We are currently working on combining the two separate apps for iOS, and we will be releasing the updated app in the next couple of months

Also, the bandwidth of HF pales in comparison to UHF. Trying to hear anything usable on HF is impossible unless you’re blasting 50W

How do I program my TX6160 2 ways in to work-site specific radio channels e.g. Emergency, Security, or is this not possible?

Hi mate, unfortunately not, as the TX6160 does not have programmable channels. Check out the TX66600PRO, which has this capability

I just purchased TX3120SPNP (on line order) - it is so tiny, you call it Compact, that is understatement, should call it 'micro' - was shocked how small it is - great for the car but not for what I need. I need to set up a home base unit that will plug into the 240 mains system. Need to have a discussion with the guys to work out how I am going to power this unit in my office for 24/7 supply. Love the unit for the car but very disappointed for what I need, way to small.
@anja90392 жыл бұрын
After having my unit for 3 mths TX3120SPNP - several different antenna's my unit is still not working - can only intermittently receive and can not transmit. I was told this unit would suit my needs - I am a emergency service operator with CREST and purchased this unit specifically for my roll as a volunteer. Fortunately it has not been a busy season due to the Covid Lock down and boarder closures. To say I am 'NOT HAPPY ' and quiet annoyed would be an understate as this product is not living up to the promised expectations. Tried contacting GME and all I get is a recording asking to hang on as they are busy - hung on for ages and then line dropped out.

hey guys, is the 2 watt handheld a good starting point option for when travelling in a convoy? for example to be used when driving along the beach or spotting on tracks. or is it better to just get the 5 watt? cheers
@adelarsen97764 жыл бұрын
Get a 2/5 Watt Icom Hand held. 100% made in Japan, not China.
@SparesboxAuto4 жыл бұрын
We like to use either a 2watt or 5watt handheld for spotting up tracks and an in-car UHF for convoy comms.

Does radome antennas have better range than whip types antennas of the same dbi?
@GMEaus3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, no, the mechanical design of the different antenna types does not affect the transmission range. Radome antennas are designed to handle tough conditions and withstand harsher treatment, specifically in 4WD applications

In theroy if you took two overseas it would work. However, other countries have different frequencies and laws a different so you will run the risk of it interfering with the local networks

On a 2.1 dB antena how long I can reach in a flat terrain ? Like 5km ?
@SparesboxAuto3 жыл бұрын
Great question! We should do a test some time! The 2.1db is perfect for hilly terrain such as the Vic High Country, etc.
@BillSaltbush3 жыл бұрын
There are always variables. However there is a KZbin presentation, by one of the 4WD identities, which quite clearly demonstrates that you'll be able to transmit and receive at distances well over 5km . . . as far as 10km in reality. He's using the GME 370C and comparing both 2.1dBi and 6.1dBi.
