I think the old OC kind of broke Kenny, but nothing a solid off-season with an experienced OC couldn't clean up. That could be me being hopeful too. With Mitch, I'm just waiting for him to throw bad, horrific, game losing interceptions or fumble away a snap he should fall on. How many bad snaps (Mason Cole's ass should be on the bench btw) has Kenny just fell on having the awareness to do so? A lot. I do gotta thank you for pointing some of this stuff out bc once Kenny got hurt/declared out, I turned the game off thinking there was zero chance for a comeback & just assumed we'd lose to another terrible team Thursday with Mitch Too-risky, but there was some good there. Being a Steeler fan this season has been torturous 😅.

Enough said he’s not seeing the field can’t read defenses and hold and scrambling instead of stepping up in the pocket I feel that even with a good OC Kenny’s just not good enough. Mitch brought the Bears to the playoffs twice in his last 3 years there and once he left they went back to being a 3-13 team. Mitch has a very strong arm and has to stop trying to squeeze his passes in between 2 defenders to a receiver. He just has to see the field better for the open receiver and if none are available run the ball or throw it away..

This was his chance to shine and improve since we don’t have Canada anymore! And he improved a bit when we played against the bengals. When Mitch came in, he didn’t do much when Kenny could’ve scored for us! Kenny has potential he just needs to be less scared and show off that great potential he has in him! Just saying from the bottom of my heart as a die hard fan! And I hope we win tonight against the patriots. A dub would be a great 26th birthday gift for me!

I’m gonna give it to Mitch. That it is full faith in him that he can make this offense successful. He has the benefit of starting against the pats, but they are all still high level athletes not to be taken lightly. The biggest thing to me is that Mitch doesn’t run at the first sign of danger. Really his only real flaw is his red zone chances he takes. He tries too hard and not even just in the red zone but other important plays too. Mitch is just better than Kenny and Kenny should be qb3 going forward. Move mason up because he is better than Kenny. Put mason on the second team offense and let him get better reps.

Neither are the answer. Truthfully we need to pick up a seasoned vet in the off season like Kirk Cousins. But for now while Kenny is out, I really wish they would put Mason in there. Not sold on Trashbisky. Sorry! He turns the ball over too much. At least Kenny does not throw interceptions. Turnovers= L's

To answer your question the last time I saw Kenny Pickett throw a touchdown pass was in the Cincinnati game. It didn’t count because Mike Tomlin didn’t challenge it, but it was still a touchdown pass.

In a previous game, Pickens did not get both feet in when he easily could have for a touchdown, and what about the dozen drops by the receivers? His last half of the season last year showed something. It took Rodgers 3 years before he really showed he was an outstanding QB.

It wasn't that Canada was that bad, it was that Matt Canada's 1st & 2nd quarterbacks are that bad. It's like being asked to build a brick house with feathers. Can't get pee from a tree. Kenny is "low-risk" BAD, while Mitch is "high-risk" BAD! ...but I'd rather see the balls thrown down the field than not. Not sure what Mason did to piss Tomlin off, but the entire 2022 training camp knew that Mason was the best of ALL the quarterbacks. Not sure why he was denied the chance to start after obviously deserving the opportunity.

Yeah TooRisky is going against one of the better defenses in the Patsies. I have little faith in Mitch because at this point in his career, he is who he is and thats a guy who will turn the ball over even if he does alot that's good. His bad plays are costly and he has no understanding of what weighty moments are so he does things that can help cost you the game. He is everything Pickett is not both good and bad. As you have stated from the film, Pickett to me is not a franchise QB (he keeps missing the obvious) and the quicker they figure that out the better for the team. Yes, Canada was always a major problem but real football folks could clearly see from the film, Kenny's weaknesses are still glaring. Yeah, there is hope he gets better (unlike Mitch) but I do not see franchise QB better. Your analysis of TooRisky clearly shows why Kenny is not the guy. I've seen enough of Mitch to know that he is not going to change after being in the league this long. He basically said it at his press conference this week. So to answer your question if Mitch can pull out a few wins for us until Kenny comes back? It will depend on which defense shows up and if the dopey coaching staff can limit Mitch on when he should take risks we all know he is going to take regardless. I have no confidence in the later. Until we get a real OC with better plays, better QB coach, better OL coach, better WR coach, I expect more of the same as we saw last Sunday regardless who's at QB.

This is a team that can't get out of it's own way. Several examples, 12 men on the field, special teams Captain going haywire, Diontae celebrating three score deficit, taunting penalties, top 2 OB'S staring down and only throwing to the first option. Mason Cole is the worst Center in Football after last week. Did I miss anything? Probably 😮

Somewhat encouraging. Looked somewhat competent. I watched some highlights of Mason, and I had forgotten how good his arm was. I couldn't agree more, Mason would be a much better choice, but hopefully with better play-calling than Canada, Mitch can put some points up tomorrow night. At least we don't see the havoc we were seeing with Kenny if the first read is not open, or the defense brings pressure.

This is straight Kenny hate in disguise. I've watched these breakdowns and EVERY SINGLE TIME you talk about guys "coming open" and Kenny missing them because he can't see the field. On literally every play you showed I can point to a guy that you would definitely say was WIDE open if the QB was #8. Mitch is NOT BETTER. Generally speaking him and Kenny play to play are pretty comparable even though Kenny is barely in his 2nd season. The MASSIVE difference between them is KP doesn't turn the ball over and lose you games, Mitch does it routinely. Where's the play in this breakdown where he gets the usual garbage snap at his feet because Mason Cole sucks and Mitch fumbles around trying to pick it up instead on just falling on the ball? Kenny has to do that shit all the time and it keeps them in games which is why they win. That's a dumbass turnover that basically sealed this game. KP is barely in his 2nd season and has had the worlds worst OC and horrible O-line, relax and give him some time.

There’s NOTHING…about any of the three quarterbacks on this roster, that appears to present a consistent, progression into their roll as quarterback or strong leadership! Let be honest…Kenny Pickett, has not shown much forward progress…he doesn’t appear to be able to read defenses. He almost always appears to predetermined where he’s going with the football, and that’s where he goes…he isn’t confident enough to work through his progressions, so he often misses wide open receivers. He appears to play in a panic and only be comfortable with his first read. Mitch Trubisky has never truly demonstrated he is an NFL starter and quite frankly, I’m baffled as to how a QB like Mitch, even got drafted in the first round, with only his senior year as a starter at North Carolina. He was a failure in Chicago and what possessed the Steelers to pick him up, is beyond anything I can think of. Last on the list is Mason Rudolph…initially, he appeared to be able to come in and perform well, but over time, he hasn’t been able to play at the highest level consistently and he’s prone to turnovers, it’s regularity. Frankly, I see no future with any of these quarterbacks…Kenny Pickett hasn’t show us much, but I’d be willing to give him a bother opportunity to prove he can be an NFL caliber quarterback, since he hasn’t had the a quality OC to work with yet…that said, the Steelers Still need to be looking for quarterbacks.

People keep saying Kenny and the OC. Forget whoever is the OC. On the field of play there are receivers not slightly open but wide open and one read Kenny doesn’t see them. Players in the end zone wide open which means the playcall is great!! Kenny is not good!! If you are missing wide open receivers like Heyward in Houston and Austin on Kenny last play of the game that tells you he is not it!!!! Kenny is a bad QB!!!
