Dan, you could be the first. All the Steeler podcasts have gone immediately to the Wilson vs.Fields topic because that discussion will garner excitement, division, and drama, which does make cash. I haven't seen a Steelers' podcast yet that breaks down both Wilson's and Field's last two years of QB tape. That would clearly show why both were discarded and available at such a low value. That, to me, isn't being completely transparent for the shake of selling either hope for cash or to sow emotional division for profit.

I will be ecstatic if Wilson or Fields are successful or both. That written, the Steelers can't turn back time for Wilson, and they can't speed up Field's processing. Continuing to look for QB options in the next draft would be the smartest approach. The lack of a QB plan after Ben and not addressing the O line before taking players like Harris and Pickett hurt them. The knock on Fields in college was slow processing, not seeing the field with a slow wind-up releash. There is enough tape on Fields showing he has the same issues three years later. It's good to know he tested well, for it could be in the confidence realm, which can be fixed with coaching. However, if it is his NFL QB processing, for whatever reason, that can't be fixed. Lastly, an article came out yesterday on Fields addressing my concerns, as well. I spent time after the trade to listen to unbiased Bears podcasts that give me concerns, too. I have lowered my expectations for a must playoff win this year, for there is too much uncertainty to be too demanding on the team. I agree, Harris may have hurt himself.

but Najee has been doing it wit Canada as OC and behind horrible Olines. so i completely agree i felt they would have picked up that rather cheap 5th year option. i dont believe it be for an extension because i believe Najee himself wants to hit the open market after past comments about tryin to get running backs their fair shake as far as money. but exactly more reason imo to opt in for that 5th yr.

Najee had 3 straight 1000 Yd season despite a below average OFFENSIVE LINE and NO Offensive Coordinator. With this Much improved OL, both Najee and Jaylen will get 1000 Yds. Mike Tomlin Loves Najee on and off the Feild. Najee will get an extension 3 Year 24 MIL. In today's NFL it is a proven fact that you need 2 Good RB's. You don't want to wear down your RB1 to the point where he's not effective late in the Season and is injury prone. You Need Both Jaylen and Najee. I doubt if Jaylen can handle a bell cow season. It's not an effective Strategy. The Steelers have roughly 20 MIL in Cap Space. Cut Holcomb and Herbig will save 8 Mil, then you will have 28 Mil in Cap Space. Go and Sign/Trade for DK Metcalf or Courtland Sutton, Sign Justin Simmons or Stephen Gilmore and Sign Calias Campbell. These additions win the Super Bowl.

Kahn is cleaning up Colberts mess. With a few exceptions, he's done a terrible job the last decade. The coaching overcame the drafting. Most of our players we've been winning with have been cheap cast offs from other teams.

Omar Khan seems to know what he's doing so I trust this decision. NFL shelf life for running backs is very short. For most it's probably just a few years. Backs with long careers are more the exception than the rule. So actually Harris may have peaked already or he will within the next couple years.

Not a fan of the decision to not pay Najee what he’s earned. I’d be frustrated as a player if they used me as poorly as they used Najee last year. The playcalling for Najee was so damn predictable and they stopped using him in the passing game which he proved to be excellent at his rookie year as well as in spurts last 2 years when they actually gave him a chance to. He’s been so poorly misused i can’t blame him for being frustrated. But i’m guessing they need the money for the eventual Aiyuk trade so we’ll see what happens!

Looks like they hit exactly how we hoped it would and how you just said would be best. One hell of a draft. Good on the Steelers to do what they can to make Russel’s job as easy as they can by giving him an o line that can protect him while he holds the ball a little longer. Those sacks that usually happen to him from holding the ball may now turn into big plays.

I was impressed with Frazier's level of fitness at the Combine coming off that injury.

I dont think they'll necessarily make him go right. I think they put the guys wherever they make the OL the strongest. I hope so, anyway.
