I love Stath’s use of language in this. So well observed. Really accurately captures the vocabulary and grammar of someone who has come to the English language relatively late in life and has had to learn it in less than ideal circumstances. Oh...and Sophie is gorgeous.

I don't think it is someone who learned English late in life-but an English Cypriot and the idiosyncrasies of that community's way of speaking English. Correct me if I am wrong though

I was watching tv the other night and was channel surfing and the last episode of series 2 was on it caught my attention so i decided to watch the whole series on demand, i thought it was quite funny BUT the main character clearly clearly bases his stuff from Ali G, i think this was the reason i watched it all, i had planned to watch it when it 1st came on but for some reason i couldnt get into it on the 1st episode but still a decent comedy id deffo watch it again if they do any more, seeing that Prick on the floor at the end was a great way to end the show. ✌💙👍 from Scotland 👋

@@bodyer2120 You are an 'entertainments promoter' but you need laugh tracks in order to find comedy funny? Aww sweetie you realise that we aren't fooled by the job title so it gives you zero authority - that is just another way of saying you work in marketing. You think something can't be childish and funny at the same time? Some things are funny because they are childish. Comedy comes I'm many forms, and this is one of them. You arent required to like all of it, but it's ridiculous and delusional to act like your opinion is universally true. The other adjectives you used are just your opinion, which we have shown to have no standing beyond your own mind. Of course you had to disparage young people. You have to realise that disparaging young people in a blanket statement only tells the world one thing - you are bitterly jealous that your youth is so far in your past. Envy is not a good look, mate.
@bodyer2120 Жыл бұрын
@@JB-qf5ep I didn't say I needed canned laughter, sure I didn't? I was saying the programme was that irredeemable that even canned laughter, rather than the so-called humour, might have produce a smile, but certainly not a laugh. However, not a smile from me who detests such additions to poor comedy. Comprehension mustn't have been your best subject at school. Who are 'we"? Are you responding to me on behalf of a group? Like me, you only represent your own opinion, just like all of us here. My opinion is based on experience and that good comedy will cause me to laugh. This doesnt possibly because it lacks sophistication, however, and i am entitled to come on here and give my opinion that it doesn't rate with the vast bulk of comedy that has been gifted to us over the years. As for the envy of youth, you are way off the mark. I am so glad I grew up free to come to my own conclusions, unlike the youth of today who are brainwashed and dumbed down to the point they will believe anything, like being told and accepting that this programme is comedy, for example. Just like you.
