I think having a combination of gravity water bowls etc and the fountain is the best way to go for one reason ,in case of power outages.The same thing for dry food.

I've used water fountains for years. They have always worked, & my cats like them. I've also used automatic feeders, & they are great for controlling my cats feedings.

I've never had a problem with any of my cats refusing to drink water from a cereal bowl or just a plain ol' food/water dish combo. I'm having visions of "Beauty and the Beast." "Then go ahead and STARVE!"

Just wanted to add that the 1 hour range for the polar smart is outdated. It can go up to 4 hrs now.

We have the RFID One feeders for our 3 cats and they're great for special diets, limited feeding and tracking non-eaters

Yes it does . It also reminds you to clean it and to change filters or add water.

Just gonna say cat water fountain pumps are garbage they break in 2 weeks and cost as much as buying a new fountain. Very disappointed in it. 😢 As now my cats don't want to drink out of a bowl anymore.

100% , these fountains have a short life span. I go with small business’s on Etsy that throw their own fountain in pottery form with aquarium filters and charcoal . Everything can be cleaned by hand or replaced easily .
