I live in Michigan and it’s super cold here. Even during the summer. Any ways to safely heat my colonies using diy like this?

Just heat a portion of the nest buddy like around 10-20% and let the ants thermo regulate themselves, this way they still have a cooler side if they all go to the heated portion you can increase the heated area base on their reactions vice versa lessen the area heated of they stay away from it.

this is not really related to the video over all nice video its really cool how you can make little nest with groud and do you know if ants that collect seeds are native to canada i would really like a colony of seed coolecting ants

I used to have buddy, already raised multiple mature colonies before. We tried to get some queen few months ago,but we're having bad luck this season.
