Not only is this fight probably my favorite in the entire series but it is one of the main reasons that i will forever believe Xena is a Demigod! I mean, come on! Did you know the actress who played Gabrielle actually got poisoned? They had to wait for the antidote to be flown to the set, and since they had the crew and everyone already there, they just started filming. the real life answer is because that's the easiest way, it's kinda of a pussified way to win a battle. it's almost like cheating and doesn't demonstrate the alleged brute force and effectiveness of an army going in and taking out their enemy face to face. There's no honor in burning the house. It's the same idea of a sword fight... Why keep clashing blade to blade when all you really need to do is aim for you opponents hand gripping the sword to disarm them and then go in for the kill. There's no honor in that and it won't be celebrated as a victory when the story is retold.

Am I the only one who finds it insulting that she could beat THAT MANY all at once? If Kevin Sorbo's Hercules couldn't do that, then she shouldn't have been able to either, and he was a half god. The people that say Xena was not a god or a half god, there should have at least been an explanation that would would make sense for this scene, like where she was wearing something that gave her super powers, or had some sort of wizard cast a spell on her that made her almost invincible.

Xena had a completely different sort of training then Hercules. Her strength is not from the gos as Hercule's is. She trained hard and built up her strength and skills, she has been on both sides good and evil, Hercules was born a half god abd only ever trained with hus full strength. Without his strength from the gods he is not as good of a fighter as seen in a few episodes when he gave up his powers to be with Serina and a few other episodes. She also had a few very powerful teachers Ares, Lao Ma.
