What??? It was an insult to Gerry
@steviem8466Ай бұрын
@@Mr_Kenneth absolutely, Frakes personally insulted Anderson to his face. God knows why he gave them permission to make the film. Gerry was more than capable of making a live action version of Thunderbirds

The world lost a great underrated actor when Bill Paxton passed away.

I wish the movie wasn’t made for kids, but for nostalgia for some grown-ups that grew up watching it so they could take their kids to watch it. It too much for kids.
@KOFAKEDEMАй бұрын
That would have required another level of introspection which, I'm afraid, the production was unable to have.

It wasn't a bad film, and Frakes deserves some respect for it...Also: I remember when Parker lived in Sanford and developed land..

Sorry, but for all the star power Paxton, Kingsley and the rest brought to the film, this was not the best way to honor the Anderson's legacy. Sad as well, considering that Jonathan Frakes was the producer/director on this one. The 2015 series from ITV Studios & Pukeko Pictures is a FAR superior reimagining of the classic 1960s series.

As much as I like Mr Frakes, this film is a crime against humanity in its cheery ignorance of the British source material. Ugh. And Ugh again, for effect. Add it to the huge pile of failed attempts by Americans to appropriate cultural icons that they do not understand. Fawlty Towers, Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Red Dwarf... Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!
