This song has so much meaning to it, as we grow up, we begin to realize that this song is about everyone who goes through shit in life. Some of us even think of ending it soon, but what he's telling is to keep moving forward because in the video, the man is saved by everyone who cared about him. Write back what is wrong, and Move Along.

She's now married with kids and I haven't changed as much as I'd hoped by now. Being pretty unhappy with where my life is, the song kind of has more meaning to me now that it did back then.

I just started singing this song today out of nowhere and I was like oh! I haven’t heard that song in ages what are the lyrics anyway and came over to watch the video. Now I’m sobbing because life has been life-ing on hard mode lately and I’ve just been holding it all in. This was just the reminder i needed that I have a community of family and friends around me so I don’t have to shoulder life’s weights on my own and that even if I fall there are people there that will catch me. And God always holds me up and is there when I fall. “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

This hits differently now that I am approaching my 30s. Let me tell you, as someone who has pushed through deep depression, the loss of a relationship, and had my life do a complete 180 from where I expected it to be at this point; Don't lose hope. Embrace the detour. There is something beautiful on the other side of that wreckage. The only way out of the darkness is through it. Cry when you need to, feel the pain, pause if necessary, watch a few k-dramas at 3:00 am and mourn the loss of what could have been, but please don't stay there. One second at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time. It does get better. I am so glad I didn't give in to the desire to die. It may take a few years, but please hang in there. Whoever you are, you are not alone. Sending virtual hugs to whoever may need them. ❤

Every single time I watch this music video, I'm overcome with emotions every single time when I see the scene of the fans lifting him up when he's about to end it all. Just seeing their hands slowly rise up to catch him after all the heartache he's had to endure up to that point is so amazing. That scene, and the football as an "US VS. THEM" allegory. When he wipes his face to dry the tears after all his fans turn on him. Can't say enough good about this beautiful video and this equally incredible song. Genuinely, I think this may be the best music video ever produced.

Fell in love with this song the first time I heard it in 2005. I was 11. The song and the lyrics have helped go through SO much throughout my life. My teenage years were basically me trying not to take my own life. Today i'm 29, about to turn 30 and the song still resonates SO much. I feel it. I'm going through a tough hearbreak and a grief. The song is on replay... just like when I was 14. I'm planning on getting these lyrics tattooed along my spine .

Hey fellow broken but healing soul... Coincidentally I went through the same thing growing up with suicide and depression... And I'm also 29 turning 30 this year. I'm just into a month of my breakup of 6.5 years of the person who I thought was my soulmate (long story short, she had a mental illness and was hiding that fact that she used to habitually cheat and was a pathological liar who manipulated me, and eventually cheated on me, but still denied it even after the end)... During the break up, I struggled so much not taking my life...but this past week as I've made progress in my own healing, this song has been on replay for me when I feel the sadness start to kick in... I guess, I just wanted to say, you are not alone. And quite honestly, it's funny how there's so many of us right now going through the same thing... Sending you and to anyone that reads this a virtual hug and love
@Lollyy278 ай бұрын
@@benmstewie Reading your message made me feel a little better, thank you ! But my ex never cheated, or did anything really wrong (he was just a bit selfish sometimes). But he wants to join the army, and puts a lot of pressure on himself. he wants to achieve his dream and he knows he won't have enough time to handle everything. he said that i'd have suffered from his absence. Whatsmore he's leaving for the other side of the country for good next year. So yep, he kinda "sacrificed" me., saying i'm the love of his life, and that he hopes we find our way back to each other someday.. I hope i'll get better because my heart is more broken than it has ever been.
