On an even more serious note, bullied kids should be taught to physically fight back. 1) Thats why kids survived, including me, because our fathers told us not to be we weak back in the 70's and 80's. 2) The other reason we stopped bullying back then was also not living in a WOKE fragile Society.

I feel like I need to look into this case myself after watching this. The “experts” made it seem like this kid was just really into a movie, but when you start having hallucinations and delusions and have lost touch with reality, that pretty much defines a psychotic break. Not a hobby gone too far! I don’t know how the insanity plea/verdict fits in with all that. I was also put off by the ending. That’s a presumptuous statement to say he would never take his own life if he believed he was immortal. If his delusions were intact, maybe he thought this would get him out of prison and he’d come back to life on the outside!?? So many holes in this one. Usually I like this channel but this left more questions than answers. My heart goes out to the victim’s family. What a brutal memory. It’s absolutely tragic.

I really didn't like the overall direction of this. The "experts" being overly dramatic and quite unprofessional, the characterization of "vision" Akasha (so unnecessary!) and the simple fact that the narrator couldn't stop messing up by calling it by the name of the actress instead of the name of the character itself. Allan was seeing the character (a vampire!), as it was played by Aalyah, with her looks and voice and whatsoever, but he wasn't seeing the actress, the person herself, so it's quite disrespectful and unprofessional to keep calling the vision by the actress name. The said experts never going into details about the state of Allan's mind, possible diagnostics... just shallow "expertise" that makes us wonder if they were not in fact actors. This video made me realize how much I appreciate that there are a lot of good youtubers that cover true crime cases in a much better way, being more sensitive and respectful and not being attached to forced-dramatic-style with sprinkles of wannabe-humor of a tv format.

He could have truly believed he was a vampire to later have the delusion wear off. Delusions can be like that. When you are in them you believe they are real. After something brings you back to reality it can be difficult to deal with.

The irony of this (on a completely book nerd level) is that, had he actually read the book, he probably would have hated the movie since the only similarity between the two is the title! (For example, in the book, the Queen is a redheaded Celtic being with skin so white it's nearly translucent whose focus is the preservationof the Celtic lands and history.) I wonder if this realization would have distracted him from his obsession. (Of course, early therapy and intervention to help him with his trauma and isolation would obviously have been an even better plan!)

I'm obsessed with vampires and werewolves to the point I genuinely do believe they exist but to eat and/or drink the blood of someone is just barf inducing to me. Know your limits between your fantasies and realty people because you'll be the only crazy one at the end of it all. RIP THOMAS 🙏

I think anti social disorder was manifesting its self as a result of the bullying and the vampire movies served as a trigger. All that pent up anger had to come out some way. Just thinking out loud, but he kept signalling... like the rope he brought to school, the ox liver he kept and didn't tell his mom about, thereby provoking a reaction out of his mom... and ordering her (control) not to touch the ox liver, since it's not hers. One could go on & on.
