I lost my Mother on Monday, this song is for her. God bless Aaron Lewis and his powerful lyrics, and God bless my mother for all that she endured, and no longer has to. She is at peace.

This was my Brothers favorite song and Artist. This is a special song for the family now as he passed away yesterday battling Muscular Dystrophy. The disease finally won and took away a very good person. We love and will miss you Joey Hernandez. This song will be played at his wake on Monday evening.

Crazy, how ONE song, can make you feel SO MUCH.. YOU feel so deeply, that you can confirm, FINALLY, that yes, you ARE STILL, VERY much alive .. This is one of those songs that awakens your dormant soul, a soul you thought was long gone. Clears the cobwebs from your eyes, allowing u to SEE, just how lucky u really are in life. It opens your ability to hear the world that you've gone deaf too.. it may be "just a song" to many here, but for the rest of us, it was a life changing moment of pure intent, intended for us to hear it at just the right moment. THANK YOU AARON, for your love of music, America, and family, is a true inspiration! 💕❤

Wow im sorry to hear about your husband, this song reminds me of my brother Bryan who passed away in 2011 forever in my mind, the memory never fades, and every time I hear this song it makes me want to break down, and disappear, yet I cant help but listen to it over and over and over. There is a multitude of songs by aaron lewis that bring back the memories of my brother, we used to play guitar and sing quite a few of his songs, I rarely play anymore. Truth is when he passed for awhile I was completely lost, and because it was a suicide I hated myself for not reaching out more. All I can think is the countless things I never told him, all the things I can never tell him. I remember leaning over his casket and dying inside, it changes your entire perspective, everything in the world takes on either a new light or is forever concealed by shadow, unfortunately I chose to dwell on the negative and have forever shamed the memory of the most amazing brother anyone could ever ask for. Bryan if you are in heaven and can see me now, I hope i make you proud. I hope you soar with the angels, I hope you finally found the peace that forever eluded you and im sorry, so sorry that felt it had to be this way, but we will always love you and you will always be with us.

Lap Steel Guitar. Quite different from playing slide on a standard 6 string guitar. Quite different. The only thing similar is it has strings and uses a hard bar/bottle/something to move up and down the strings. From there, it's quite different from playing slide guitar.

I FOUND THIS SONG 2 YRS. AGO COINCIDENTALLY RIGHT AFTER MY DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER. THIS SONG MEANS SO MUCH TO ME AND MANY OTHERS. IT BRINGS ME PEACE AND SOLIDARITY. THOUGH IM STILL IN THE BATTLE ITS HARD NOT TO CRY WHEN YOU KNOW DEATH IS KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR. BUT I CONTINUE TO FIGHT. I FINALLY SHARED THIS WITH MY OLDEST SON BEFORE BEING STATIONED IN JAPAN. IT TOOK A LOT FOR ME TO DO THAT. AS DAD IM SUPPOSED TO BE STRONG FOR MY 3 BOYS BUT REALIZING THEYRE STRONG FOR ME. THANK YOU AARON WITH TEARS IN MY EYES.

So this is it I say goodbye To this chapter of my ever-changing life And there's mistakes The path is long And I'm sure I'll answer for them when I'm gone So when the day comes and The sun won't touch my face Tell the ones who cared enough That I finally left this place That's been so cold Look at my face All the stories it will tell I can't erase The road is long Just one more song A little something to remind you when I'm gone When I'm gone The road to hell Along the way Is paved with good intentions so they say And some believe That no good deed Goes unpunished in the end or so it seems So when the day comes and The sun won't touch my face Tell the ones who care enough That I finally left this place That's been so cold Look at my face All the stories it will tell I can't erase The road is long Just one more song A little something to remind you when I'm gone When I'm gone So this is it I say goodbye To this chapter of my ever-changing life And there's mistakes The path was long And I'm sure I'll answer for them when I'm gone When I'm gone

I'm 47 years old, living in an airbnb. I own the series of bad choices that have brought me to this sad chapter of my my ever changing life. I find myself grateful for everything and angry about nothing. I ask nothing of my friends but how I can be a blessing to them, and I stop and give children my undivided attention when they speak to me. Feels so strange, and it's taken so long.
