From the Richie McCaw that was broken and shattered after that World Cup quarter final loss to the French in 2007 to the back to back World Cup winning captain of 2011 with a broken foot and 2015. The greatest player of all time

I don't get it. These are the best flankers in the world, the best at tackling and breakdowns and turnovers, etc. And yet the highlights you chose to show are of them flopping over the try line from a metre out. I wanted to see the highlights of what they were masters in. Not scoring banal tries.

I agree. Savea has always been an athletic and dynamic player so for him I don't mind seeing his tries. But for McCaw surely we'd want to see the qualities of toughness, intelligence, and relentless drive that people have praised for him over the years?

But he depended on others to win the cup. Michael Jones can win a match with his skills; tackle, can jump at lineouts on his own, speed and probably play any position in the backline. Sounds like a GOAT definition

@@FilipoMatautia there’s 14 players on the field with both Richie and Jones so I’m not sure what that argument is supposed to imply. U think Michael Jones single handedly won test matches? Ludicrous. First of all Savea won't count as a flanker even though he is a 7 BUT because the ABs continue to waste this selection by playing Savea at 8 Savea can only compared to All Black no.8s such as Lochore, Mexted, Shelford, Brooke and Read! You want to compare flankers you need to look at the great All Black 7s Waka Nathan Keven Everleigh Graham Mourie Michael Jones Josh Kronfeld Richie McCaw!

Richie McCaw = GOAT, 2-time World Cup-winning captain Ardie Savea = overrated asf, poor decision-making in the finals cost the All Blacks the Rugby World Cup. Imagine having three fly-halves in the backline (Mo'unga, BB, Jordie/D-Mac) and still lose by 1 point. Not even thinking about setting up those fly-halves to attempt one drop goal after another.🤦‍♂

NZRU you have some work to do. We have gone backwards since 2019!! You let the Saffas leave the Super rugby. You messed up the recent coaching appointment You let Joe Smit go. Please sort out this mess and get the ABz back to Black!! I bet Richie won't admit it but he must be disappointed with the NZRU and where the ABz are at this stage

Made a World Cup Semi Final in 2019 and the World Cup Final in 2023. That's hardly going backwards, a team like Ireland can only dream of that. For a new coach like Robertson to win 10 out 14 tests in his first year is not something to scoff at, the losses were winnable games too. Test match rugby is a few levels up from Super Rugby and I think he's done well considering the number of legendary players the AB's lost after last season. Super rugby still hardens players for the rigours of test rugby, iron sharpens iron and NZ teams always play Super rugby with the type of intensity that readies them for test rugby. Just putting things in perspective.

@@haasteagle2750 I know my comments may sound harsh but the way they handled the things I said was deplorable. The NZRU out of their arrogance let SA go but we need their physical game. I remember back in 1999 when we flew North to the world cup they painted the plane with the All Black front row. It was cringey and it took the humbling of 1999, 2003 and 2007 for NZ to finally wake up. Graham Henry went back to basics. No longer were the big shots bullying the young ones All of a sudden you had 50 plus test players carrying in the bags from the buses and sweeping out the changing rooms. Team first always! Under Graham Henry, Steve Hansen and Wayne Smith with Steve Tew at the helm they taught the ABz about humility and team first ethos. The All Blacks have been the benchmark for over 100 years boasting a 75% + win rate. As Kiwi I have always been proud of our small nation as we tend to punch above our weight for such a small country but it took us a while to humble ourselves and go thru some pain and to come out the other side with a double triumph. For me it seems a real shame to have undone such a solid foundation. Yes it was an above average year but the NZ public have always demanded excellence because we know our boys can do it. I felt the last world cup was Ireland's and Frances for the taking but I felt Ireland were like NZ back in 1999-2007. Almost going in and just expecting the cup to be handed over to them. I was like that myself. I said in 2007 we will smash everybody as we were the best team by miles and hello our arrogance tipped us over to a quality passionate French team. I was there and boy did it hurt but i felt the only remedy was to be a good sport and shake the French people's hands. That helped to heal. Hopefully Ireland and France will learn their lessons as they are quality teams and one day you will have that opportunity. Richie McCaw was a rare player. Vastly intelligent, shear determination but very humble as well. I think Ardie is a similar mould to him. A humble determined player. The ABz will be back but the NZRU needs to learn humility again. God bless

@@DivinaeMisericordiae77 The problem with NZ rugby is arrogance! I saw this in the 1987 team when they had not lost a game from November 1986 to July 1990! That team should have won the 1991 RWC with the players they had BUT they became arrogant. Wylie failed to evolve and Eddie Tonks bought John Hart to assist Wylie when Wylie and Hart did NOT get on! Then there was the dropping of Buck Shelford and the retirement of Joe Stanley! The reason why the ABs failed to win a world cup for 24 years is because of its own arrogance and I am seeing it again based on this - things started to go wrong in 2016 when the ABs lost to Ireland in Chicago and our total win rate has gone down from 77% to 74% since then!!!! WHY???? Because NZ rugby will not change the way it plays the game and fails to deal with the discipline therefore the same crap will continue! NZ rugby is under this delusion that the expansive running rugby is the beautiful entertaining game that the people want to see and that we can score tries from anywhere at anytime - what load of crap! This running expansive game that the ABs want to play has cost us the 2019 RWC and 2023 RWC! This running game is getting nailed by the rush umbrella defense and we have done nothing about it! The same with our discipline as we are the highest penalized team in world rugby and the highest carded team in world rugby since 2016 and nothing has been done - its been 9 years!!!!! Here is the crazy part about this all - because its been 9 years therefore this means that we keep doing the same thing over and over and over with the results are still the same YET we keep doing the same thing! This is how delusional the ABs are - they are blinded by their own arrogance that they cannot see what needs to change! Instead Robertson says we need to change the eligibility rules to change our fortunes - he played 2 fullbacks at 1st-5 this year and played a 1st-5 at fullback in the England series - what does that tell you!!!!!
