I have an abyssinian and love her BUT she tends to be destructive ie chews on walls,blinds etc even though she has many toys,another cat to play with ,and I play with her alot and am home full time now bec I am now retired. Think carefully before you purchase unless some destruction of things you care about does not bother you . They truly are beautiful,sweet and very interesting cats but because of their intelligence ,can get into trouble.

You don't need to bathe cats. They clean themselves.

Only when they are young when they get older the stop grooming themselves as thoroughly. It's best to train them young to be bathed so that you can do it when they reach their late teens to early 20's.
