I agree with Tim on 95% of his takes, he doesn't get emotional. I will say that I think everybody's wrong about Kyrie's performance up to this point in the playoffs. Kyrie can pick when he wants to be a point guard or a shooting guard because he's so intelligent. In the previous rounds he's focused on being a true point guard in the first half getting everybody involved. Then he scores a lot of points to close out the game if that's what the team needs. In this game he knew the offense particularly luco was struggling in the first half so he decided to start scoring to carry the team through the first half. Nothing has ever a mistake with Kyrie. He is probably the most intelligent player in the game right now

It is rare for a team to breakthrough and win a chip on their first deep playoff run. Not saying the Wolves won't come back, but usually you need to have your heart broken a couple times. This is what that reporter was alluding to when Kat replied "Dayum! How much more do you want us to lose?" Losing in the WCF is real disappointment. First round exits aren't the same. Luka couldn't beat the Clippers for a couple years, and when they finally get to the WCF the Mavs get spanked by GSW. Finally the Mavs exorcised those Clippers demons. This might be the Mavs year.

The bottom line is Dallas has 2 closers and the Wolves only have 1. MN is going to come up with some defensive schemes and win some games, but I think Dallas has the advantage. Only thing that can stop us is Gafford trying to dribble the ball
@queque5606
@queque5606 4 ай бұрын
Dallas did very well as Luka wasn’t at his best the whole first half. He gets his points at the end of the day but wow the rim protection was an all time high from the Mavs. Ant did not come flat, he was just shut down by the big defender the Mavs have vs what Denver had. You can’t expect to blowout this team unless all you really do shoot is 3s. OKC seems like a tougher match up and their defense was way tighter and insane than what Minnesota is giving. They are capable of having tighter defense as well but the Mavs had dealt with that already and they will be ready.

If any is going to attac early, then he must be bowing out in challenging kyrie. Cuz it’s no way you attac early and play defense all game, ESPECIALLY after being GASSED the game before. You don’t just randomly gain wind or legs. Once they start to go it just about how far can you push it. And if he’s THAT tired in game 1, he has a long series to win and idk what he’ll have left in the finals. His best bet is ending it as early as possible and I don’t think they can

I’m being very conservative with my 37% from beyond the ark. On the cool, I hope the Mavs fire on all 12 cylinders and that Kyrie and Luca both drop 40 on their asses while the role-play shoot at 50% from beyond the ark and score 60. While the true best defense in the NBA locks Minnesota down to 80 points. Because that is as likely as Minnesota doing well.

KAT hit at least 2 big shots to bail them out late in the clock at the end of the game. KAT isn't really a great post up guy and that's a distinction some people didn't get when they say the Wolves are bigger. Yes, they are, but they don't play big, they don't have Golbert and KAT posting guys up like Jokic does. I think that Ant will get more downhill and KAT might have a good shooting night, the same way that Kyrie might not have one night or Luka. These are all plausible and possible variables and outcomes but not really an argument, as far as strategy and defense go. Mavs had a poor shooting night, if they have a great offensive night, they can win too. I think that KAT and Ant not being great could easily be countered with the Wolves hitting 18x 3s. It was actually a bit weird that Dallas was ok just hitting 6x 3s but also only taking 25 or so 3s total. They completely adapted to what the Wolves gave them and attacked the paint. So maybe if MN protects the paint, it might open for more 3s and Dallas can get going from 3 as well, like they did against OKC. I'm pretty sure the Wolves will counter and the Mavs might have a worse scoring output from Luka and Kyrie but I think that the major point from the Mavs fans is related to the slander and the idea that 1. MN would simply clamp Kyrie and Luka. 2. All the negative headlines/narratives taking advantage of Luka being injured throughout this playoffs.

Funny. You’d think from this analysis that the Mavs won by 20. Wolves just choked in final 2 minutes.

the thing is the first half they were raining down 3s like crazy and were in the elad for most of the game. and dallas weren't hitting shit. at the half I think they were 12% from 3. but they just stuck around stuck around and then they went and took it. even though they were struggling in certain ares, and they played from behind it stilled looked like they were in control.

Its funny how many people are acting like the Mavs had nothing to do with the poor performance by the Wolves. Luka wasn't clutch, the Wolves just choked. Kyrie didn't outmanuever Ant, he was just lucky. Mavs didn't guard the paint well, those 8 blocks were flukes. The Mavs won a game in which they only made 6 total 3s on 24% shooting and somehow it was still a lucky game for them. That game definitely could've gone either way, but don't act like the Wolves were in control until the very end, it was a back and forth game the whole time. I don't think there was ever a double digit lead going either way.

@vantianhergheligiu12 wolves had inexperienced low IQ plays from Mcdaniels and Ant man. They'll learn but may not win this series though, but it will be good experience for next year.

People need to leave the veneers alone and either just roc your natural smile or get braces. Veneers are dumb to me, getting the tops and not the bottoms is utterly stupid 😅. Why have half fake teeth and half real, UNLESS there was an accident or sicness of some sort. Any reason that’s cosmetic enhancing is dumb to me. Like I said, accident, sicness, or even if you may have lost a tooth in an exposed area is ok to me. Just wanting new teeth to be perfect so silly to me. The rarely look natural. it’s always noticeable in speech like when wearing a grill. And then the extreme porcelain white is just so weird to me
