My neighbour died from a firefighter's cancer in his kidneys in his 70's 2 years ago. The fire chief in St. Thomas died from the same thing, also 2 years ago at age 56. Would somebody please explain to me why the firefighters on the aerial ladders weren't wearing BA's and why those with BA's and bathed in smoke weren't masked?

Because they're not as worried about it as you are and they're not gonna be as worried about it as you want them to be so instead of worrying about them and what they do you should just worry about yourself and what you do.

I'll explain again- THEY are not as worried about it as OTHERS are. Fact! OTHERS WANT them to worry about it as much as THEY do. Fact! But they are NOT GOING TO. Fact! THEY are going to do ONLY what THEY want to do, not what OTHERS want them to do or THINK they SHOULD do. That being the case, and IT IS THE CASE, why should anyone else expend their time and energy complaining or worrying about what Newark does?? Let Newark worry about what THEY do. NOBODY ELSE is responsible for, or charged with, convincing or changing Newark's opinion or operations. And NO ONE is going change or convince Newark except Newark. So it's a total WASTE of other people's energy to try. Better to put your energy and emotion into getting YOUR OWN shit in order. Because it's probably not! OF COURSE we should be concerned about safety. Our OWN safety and procedures. No argument there. Now, how is that a stupid observation? What part of that do you not understand? Don't take my word for it. Check with a therapist or life- counselor. If you think it's YOUR JOB to convince them or change them, or if you think they give one flying shit what the keyboard commandos on KZbin think, then YOU'RE the one who's stupid!
