Thanks for this. A lot of people forget about junk yards. To me, finding useful parts in the junk yard is a way to honor the cars that have passed away (i.e. been scrapped). And you, have honored them in the best way.

As a female who owns a clean lowered 00 Honda Civic which resembles Anthony’s civic only in black, it makes me sad to see civics in our year get a bad wrap. Let’s face it, most civic owners do put less than desirable parts on them but a few of us do LOVE our civics and treat them well, without putting aftermarket junk on them. I’m the only owner of my civic and I will forever be bide her side🙃😎

Hey man this was a really helpful video. I often get discouraged with my build bc sometimes i don't even know where to start...and honestly i make it harder on myself than it should be, but it really is all in the little things. I sometimes cheaped out on the wrong things and discouraged with the result, but i learned that patience is super important. It might take a lot of time, but when you look back it's so worth it and it is a process after all!

I've got quite a few ebay/junkyard parts on my 7th gen as well. As far as junkyard, both front door panels, upper radiator mounts, key fob, rear spoiler, drivers side door handle and a plastic guard in the engine bay. Ebay I got the cold air intake kit, window and mirror guards, bottom inner door protectors, radiator, and steering wheel cover. I'll throw in amazon where you can get some decent stuff for cheap, there I got all my LED bulbs, lug nuts, rear view mirror, 9 inch android stereo/gps unit (comes with housing to fit in stock), radiator coolant fan switch, battery terminals, body push pin clips, backup camera mounting bracket, and new 6.5 and 5.25 speakers. Got the car this summer for 700 bucks and it's been my project car for the year.

The junkyard helps me really get ideas looking at the different OEM body parts, trim pieces, etc even from non Honda cars too. I've fabricated or even just cut some OEM side skirts then mounted them upside down to fit my 90 ef sedan as well as some newer accord rear OEM lip piece's from the bumper to fit as well with all basic tools. A little confidence and imagination goes along way, also if you mess up don't stress it especially if it's a common junkyard piece that you got cheap

I'm working on get things for it, for the most part I'm out at the junkyard searching high and low for rare parts.. I was at the junkyard Sunday and found a rare roof rack that didn't come with my car and front mud flaps that didn't come with my car.. I'm working on rims that I got from the junkyard that are off of the 06 Acura TL they were curb rash from Hell back I basically sanded them Bondoed them and going to paint them a gloss white, so I'm learning as I go..

Hey Anthony! I actually did a disk rear brake conversion using a kit from this company called Scarebird LLC. It's super easy to install and just uses the rear brakes from a '97-'01 Acura Integra on the old drum trailing arm. It even uses the same rear wheel bearings and is all around really cost effective (I got brand new calipers, pads, braided lines, and a new e-brake cable, and drilled and slotted rotors so mine was a bit expensive-ish but still like $600). There's a lot of documentation online of people doing there's so check it out, you may even consider it in the future!
@ALLDAYANTHONY2 жыл бұрын
I almost went that route! But finding the new trailing arms almost makes it plug and play!
@jhernz862 жыл бұрын
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Almost. Depending on the trim level as you may have to replace the proportioning valve (lots of debate on this) and brake booster. The master cylinder is a given as well as the e-brake cables. However the rear disc swap is the easiest with the Ej6 hatchbacks as they already came with the same exact proportioning valve and brake booster as a 99 Civic Si Em1. Fun and simple swap on that chassis. Great job and good content. 👍
