I really love the Calais signing. I remember him at UM! Such a great guy with size and versatility. He can step into a leadership role and help fill the void of Wilkins. He won't be a 3 down, heavy snap player, but he's also really good on the FG block team.

This is what I don’t understand. You guys will say that winning record is not a QB stat. Then in the same breath put a huge emphasis on the QB winning a playoff game. If the QB doesn’t get credit when he wins games in the regular season (it’s a team game so you win as a team and the QB doesn’t get that benefit of the winning record) then why are you giving so much credit when he wins or doesn’t win in the postseason. You win and lose as a team. Be consistent. Interestingly about Trevor, he gets credit for a playoff win in a game he had a 59% completion %, a QB rating of 70, and he threw 4 interceptions in. Yes, 4 int’s. Why does he get credit that he “won a playoff game”. Give me a break

I don't get how winning isn't a QB stat, yet we count playoff wins when giving out contracts. All the LITERAL QB stats say Tua is way better than Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff. Maybe SOMEONE may think Tyreek and Jaylen are the cause of that but it can't be all them or else McDaniel would just start Mike White and tell Tua to go with God.

You make too much sense... the part I struggle with is the fact that tua was winning games without hill and waddle... we just forgot atheist some people did. I remember tua with a broken finger coming in half time to beat a hot ravens team and the same calais Campbell giving him a cheap shot and tua getting back up and winning the game with the albert wilson pass... we forget what life without tua was. Or when tua broke budah baker in half at Arizona with the shake and bake. Like tua is the best qb we've had since Marino. The problem is tua is playing In. A day and age where social media rules sports and content is king. But he's basically a more agile drew Brees and taller and tougher. Willing to truck over DBs. Also for the first time since the hip injury tua feels strong enough to say he's willing to lose weight and go back to scrambling in the pocket like he did in Bama. Alot of people knocked tua in college because he has a bunch of 1st round wrs.... ummm if I'm not mistaken.... they haven't done shii in the nfl. Look at jeudy! I'm starting to believe tua was that dude since college!

Great point by Dr. Perkins🩺 The Dolphins are doing a nice job of building depth👏 Maybe, Greg Van Roten next❓ He is a guy IF he stays healthy should be an upgrade, and a good depth piece at worst. I am with AP, if Calais Campbell gives us 40+ snaps a game and 6+ sacks, WE WIN🎰 Furthermore, as far as Chop, "Pass Rush Win Rate" is the stat I will be watching. 📈 It's a better stat because it takes into count "Hurries/QB Hits" If the QB sees Chop coming and dumps the ball at 1.57 seconds, that's a win for Chop💯 You can't say it enough AP, Give #10 his flowers💐💐🌹🌷🌼🌻💐 When you roll coverage his way, all you do is limit him to 1799 yards and he still leads the NFL in TD's. He is at another level. Better than any on this planet 🪐✨⭐ 🐬⬆

I’ve been listening to everybody since the news came out we were going to sign Campbell. I think he’s going to be inside more as well especially considering his age. He can play on the edge, but I think that they need him to hold the middle as well as Zach . Use those linebackers and play to our strengths, which are the edges. And the reason I didn’t like Campbell was because the year we were supposed to do really well was the year he knocked Tannehill out for the year.

Also didn’t Tyreek just have his 2 best statistical season with Tua throwing him the ball so didn’t Tua didn’t make Tyreek better because was looked as a great receiver but now he is challenging to be the best WR in the NFL and he was looking that with Mahomes?? The OL isn’t made to look better because of Tua quick decision making, and didn’t Robert Hunt just get paid which should directly be attributed to Tua? you guys so biased it isn’t even funny. Did we do that with Rodgers when his WR core and RBs were stacked? Burrows weapons really suck - Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon are real trash. Warners weapons, Peyton’s weapons, Brady’s weapons, they must all take away from the QB because they were so good also. Super inconsistent argument that you have made multiple times, Alain.

Biggest elephant in the room. Stephen Ross. Somebody, please ask him what he thinks of Tua as his QB? We know the history and it is not good. Hint. If the 5 year option becomes a reality, expect Tua to holdout. It also says Ross does not believe in him. Media. Please be ready to ask the question. Lastly, the amount of the contract is less important than the total percentage of the total team cap amount that is taken per position. Top Tier QB 23-15%. Second Tier QB 11-6% Third Tier QB 5 -1%

So if Tua is no good then who you going to get to replace him ?? What is the replacement strategy . No one and I mean NO ONE ever adresses that question . Play him out on the option then cut him loose . If you don't believe in him . BUT what is your plan then . Ffs 4 winning seasons and NONE of that is to do with QB1 ?? Give me a break !!

Doesn't matter how anyone wants to paint it. Tua is better than Lawrence number don't lie.. Tuas had tyreek for 2 years but was sabotage by Flores for 2 years. Pay him like Lawrence and you won't regret it.

If Tua has the same season as last year, do you pay him? Still would have premium weapons excuse, stayed healthy, playoff appearance etc .. Truth is no one likes small quarterbacks, it’s a eyeball selling tickets game. He needs to win like Drew Brees to get respect financially, and nationally in media. He doesn’t play “sexy”

If Tua doesn’t play well in 2024 bc he doesn’t have a contract, that’ll prove his mental weakness once again! And he will then again prove that he doesn’t deserve the contract.

This Tua conversation is so frustrating cause there still isn't enough nuance. Dude needs to work on being more escapable and healthy. He also needs to work on being a more consistent decision maker cause he makes too many bad decisions currently. But those are things hes working on. Qnd even with those issues, he is better than jared goff and trevor Lawrence. Trevor makes even more bad decisions and jared goff is not the same level of deep ball thrower that he is (not many qbs are. And stats back that up)

Let Mike White or Skyler Thompson play and let Tua go. Let's see where you really stand and let him go where there is a real O Line. This should make everyone happy.

Not having Tua kills your season. the wr already have indicated the will hold in if tua doesn't have a contract by training camp. you clearly dont know what tua means to the players on offense

Y’all are so funny but I understand why people would never look at the other side of things because yall are so emotionally invested in Tua nothing wrong with that but if u look at all of the games he’s played against top teams he becomes a shell of himself dating back to his college career but hope is a hella of a drug

Man I really feel bad for Tua, the disrespect just keep coming not just from you journalist but also from most of you guys simply because he doesn't look the part. You keep trying to have it both ways Poop. You say they didn't beat the good teams and you use it as a reason to not pay him in the 50 plus million range, then you insinuate the reason we won early in Tua's career is because of the defense we had. So if we lose, it's because Tua didn't do enough, and if he wins, it's the defense or it's his explosive players. But you didn't question whether it was Herbert when he was putting up great performances and stats when he had WR's Williams, Allen, RB Ekeler and TE Henry did you? But You are more inclined to give most of the credit for Dolphins victories to someone else or a particular unit over Tua. Sorry Poop, but that's being BIAS, because you don't respect Tua's skillset like you do Herbert's, even though they both have benefitted from having talented players around them when they put up big numbers. You're not being fair Poop. And I believe it's because of your arm queen mentality, IMO. I don't mean ant disrespect to you. It's just my opinion.🤷‍♂️
