That was the first Disney Hotel we stayed at in 1999 on my first ever Disney trip. I did not realize that the resort hotel can check you in too before a Disney Cruise. The DCL bus also picks up here…We stayed at the MCO for $350 for that one night, when the All Stars only cost $269! Lesson learned… We are staying here on the night before our next cruise to save money.

I loved that Duck Pond pool. It was empty and I just floated in the pool after walking sooo many miles the previous few days. I usually always prefer the quiet pools when I'm at a Disney resort.

All Star Movies is great, especially for the cheap price. I thought it was perfectly fine and fun. Only thing I'd like to point out is: be careful when the Murphy bed is down. It sticks out farther than the normal bed, and I whacked my knees twice, one whack being particulary painful and causing a bruise that lasted for weeks. Other than that (which applies to every Murphy bed room, not just All Star Movies) I highly recommend All Star Movies as a great pick if you don't know what to do because it is cheap but has everything you need.

Been staying here since 2021. I love it. It is silly though that Disney doesn’t give you a gym unless you pay for the more expensive resorts.

Movies gift shop came thru for me when Sports ran out of Formula for my Son. Sports just called movies and they Reserved a few cans for me. Just a Quick 10min walk between Sports and Movies.

I always love a good resort tour video. It reminds me of the resort tours with Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel that I used to watch back in the day. Quincy does a wonderful job and is always so thorough. Now every time I go to a resort; I make my own mini resort tour to share at school and home. All my students, friends, and fellow teachers love when I do bed science; they always ask how I got the idea. I’m like “By Watching AllEars”. 😂

My guess on what the other object on the chair cushion pattern is would be the old movie countdown screen. Kinda looks like a ticking clock and it counts down. Just my guess 🤷‍♀️

I love your resort tours, you show all the details. I have and will stay(ed) at the value resorts. Usually, it's during a split stay to save a little money on the first couple of nights. I would have been all over them when we first started going to WDW because all that was on site then was the Monorail, Shades of Green (which was not military then) and the Fort. As a single mom with a toddler, they would have been perfect.

It would be awesome if you could do one of these for the Club Wyndham resort behind Caribbean Beach since it's technically in the bubble! I enjoyed the swam and dolphin tour but I have yet to see any mention of Bonnet Creek from any influencer at this level. I would love some Quincy insight before our October trip!

Honestly, this is one of my favorites right now. Since it's refurb a few years back, the bathrooms are SO NICE compared some of the "better" resorts like Port Orleans that still have old bathrooms. The food court is actually pretty good. Beds are decent and comfy. And if you aren't staying at the resort much, why spend more on an expensive resort when this will do everything ya need. Highly recommend Movies.

we’ve stayed at movies numerous times & always enjoyed it. only complaints i have are the walls in the rooms are very thin so you’ll hear everything next door if your neighbor is noisy enough, & although the refurb was much needed that murphy bed killed my back after sleeping in it.

We always stay in the All Stars Movie. It is reasonably priced and we have never had any issues with noise. I think spending a lot of $ on higher price hotels within Disney is not for us as we stay in the parks and do hotel hopping and are not in our rooms but to sleep. So, spending more $ on a higher price hotel just isn't for us. However, I would not mind maybe one time trying out a higher price hotel within Disney just to see what the hype is all about.

I believe the thing that stumped you on the chair upholstery is a UNIVERSAL FILM LEADER - 5, 4, 3, 2, BEEP at the beginning of a real reel of film. If you’re a child of the 1970s or prior, you’ll most definitely remember them from the beginning of every 16 mm film you watched in class. I like the ALL STARS and Pop Century but why must they have the garish lighting - it’s depressing.

All Star Movies is NOT the cheapest of the Disney resorts!!!! It is typically $30 more a day than All Star Sports and All Star Music for the base priced room - This is largely due to the Music and Sports hosting numerous school groups. The groups are often loud and take over the dining, pool and bus areas.

Are the penny-pressong machines gone (from the hallway just outside the arcade)? I used to like Sports, back when the three shared a bus Sports was the first stop. The three resorts are within walking distance of each other (Mighty Ducks might be closer to the Music bus stop than the Movies one). If you're driving there, check the location of the parking lots. Some buildings do not have parking nearby.

Never been to the all star resorts, but usually with most disney hotels, if you do online check in, there's options for room/section preferences, do it when check in opens 69 days out. Also, you can always call the disney reservation help line, and they can explain to you what you need to do and/or help you do it.

I think you can request it at reservation. But also call the resort about five days before check-in ta ask again and verify. You can also request specific rooms or locations if they're available. And wherever you stay you can always explore the entire resort.

Art has the best pool out of these. Pop is the best value since it’s cheaper than Art but on the skyliner. But I think music is the cheapest family suite.
