Would you recommend a coda bow?
@TheCelloCorner5 жыл бұрын
No, I would not recommend a coda bow. Carbon is not comparable to a wooden bow. The quality of a bow makes as much difference as the actual instrument.
@euomu5 жыл бұрын
@@TheCelloCorner Thank you so much for the quick reply. I will look for a wooden one then 🌸
@TheLenbus4 жыл бұрын
Well, I would definitely try them out and buy what sounds best and lies within your financial range. Unfortunately many people are very biased towards wood, but when you make them a blind comparison, you can definitely say that you can compare carbon to wood. Of course there are good and bad carbon bows, as well as there are good and bad wooden bows, so definitely you have to try them before purchasing. I have a brown carbon bow (don't remember the manufacturer), that looks just like a wooden bow, so people don't notice when they try it out and most of the time they are quite happy with it and surprised when I tell them its carbon. It sounds a lot better than my older wooden bow, even though it costed just about 60% of the old one. Same goes for the instrument. The Appasionato Cello of Ricci (an advanced carbon manufacturer) is probably the best instrument I have ever gotten my hands on. :)
