Great video. You transformed a factory made shoe (with a flaw) into a custom, handmade classic for the customer. You added strength, durability and value to the shoe. The customer most certainly got his money's worth.

About bird seed, I learned that using black oil sunflower seeds will bring a better variety of birds and not so many sparrows that will dominate the the seeds and keep other birds away. I learned this while recovering from a near fatal accident and enjoyed watching my feeder and sparrows driving other birds away my wife’s mom an avid bird watcher told me about it and it worked. I have watch many cobblers videos and none compare to yours I think it is because of your personality and positive attitude especially when you change your voice to imitate a troll’s comment, it cracks me up every time 👍

In my not always humble opinion, you have impeccable taste in your chosen skill. That is really impressive work Steve. On a lighter note I know sometimes you do Dad jokes. I just heard a Chuck Norris joke I hadn’t heard before. When Chuck Norris was born he drove his Mom home from the hospital. Thanks, Steve!

Now that's my kind of rebuild! The addition of a mid-sole of substance! Love the layer of denim to bridge the gemming, and how you incorporated that into the gemming/upper/welt stitching. Very nice detail! Also love the upgrade to stacked leather and the combi top lift you put on it. The only thing missing (in my book) would be some Lulus. Gorgeous hoof-covers, even before your touch. Nice/tight spi on the stitching and the color matching bottom thread. Very nice. Trimming wheel and decorative edging work just makes it pop!! Yup, treat yourself to a nice breakfast sammich on a day you're working on a nice pair of hoof-covers! Have a pleasant Memorial Day weekend, God bless those who have loved ones who gave all, and sincere gratitude to those who gave it all.

When your feet are size 13D, your choice of shoes is limited. Fixing a pair that fit well is worth the price. Great job.

Not to mention that if the guy bought a new pair instead, he may end up with the same or another problem. Now he can be 100% confident that those shoes are top notch in and out because the maestro himself worked on them and gave them the thumbs up clean bill of health.

If the shoe is still under warranty, I wonder if the manufacturer will cover Bedo’s bill. I mean he has proof that the job was well done.

I love the way you always upgrade the material to premium leather rather than the factory fiber-board that is definitely an inferior product. Good people and men with integrity do things the right way when no one else would know the difference. Wow the extra mile making it meticulously perfect. A true artist.

Nice work as always. For me as an amateur, your videos are great tutorials! I did a similar project, but didn´t bother to remove the sole and heel completly. I bought a new pair of Red Wing 2972 Engineer Boots at a bargain price, but wanted to get rid of the steel toe caps. So I cut the outsole stiches only in the front part of the boots and folded the rubber sole back. Carefully took the welt, insole and uppers apart until I could remove the steel toe cap from between the uppers and the lining. I used the same material you did, called Flexan over here and moulded it around the steel toe caps, so the new lightweight ones had exactly the same size and shape. Stitched everything carefully together again, some new cork putty, boots look like they have never been touched.

Great to see a new video. You have inspired me to start caring for my boots and leather items more regularly. I read somewhere that one of the first things people look when meeting people is their shoes. I recall in the military our shoes and boots look was very important along with our bed being made perfectly. I think all young people should serve a minimum of basic training and advanced training after graduation to teach how equal people like I did.
