I always like that you keep coming back and doing the Higgins Mill reviews. I also like that you've put them through the paces in real world situations. That really adds credibility to your review. I have pair of Higgins Mill boots and I love mine. Mine aren't weatherproof and they aren't the chromexcel. They're just full-grain leather (which I don't see them offering at the moment). Thanks again for the review.

You're welcome, and thank you. An actual review is what you've described. Getting a pair of boots and talking about them without wearing them for a while, sponsored or not, is more of an "overview" or a "first look/impressions". Gotta keep it credible.

Outstanding presentation. Thank you for discussing and comparing other boots that are similar to and also alternatives to the AE Higgins Mill boots. The Cole Haan chukka boots caught my attention. I will purchase a pair of these boots for the comfort and stylish look. Thank you again and keep up the great work!

You’re welcome, and thank you! The Cole Haan Chukka is a boot that I’ve been wearing a lot. Sneaker comfort, but looks much better, with rain resistance. You’ll enjoy them if you get them!

I got a pair of natural CXL Higgins Mill around d 2017. I wore them everywhere from job sites to office, and did a lot of driving in them as well. Love the boots. The issue I had was the tongue kept slipping. I had a tack stitch added, but it just kept breaking. When we moved last year I donated them. Not being able to get that natural again, I really miss them and I regret getting rid of them. I have replaced with other boots (Alden), but I still miss the HM 😢

Nice review. I appreciate your honest and sensible approach to your review. Its always hard to let a good boot or shoe go. Im in that process now of selling or donating about 5 pairs. All good but iv too many

Thanks! It’s not easy, but everytime I let things go, I feel so much better and it’s much easier to keep a clean home. I find it as a way to mentally move forward, rather than just hoarding everything.

I’ve owned the same pair of AE Higgins Mill boots since 2018 and I wear them daily through fall and winter. I got them for around $260 on a Nordstrom sale and I’d consider that money well spent. I haven’t replaced the Dainite soles yet but I may have to soon because I see that the heel lift is starting to let go. If I replaced them I’d likely go for the Grant Stone Diesel boots but I love the way the Higgins Mill broke in so much that I’ll definitely do at least one new sole before moving on.

Nice! I’ve heard good things about the diesel boot, and since the OG Higgins mill is discontinued, they might be a better alternative.

Higgins Mill comes in many variations with different soles and leather.
@tommilano543111 күн бұрын
It does, but they discontinued the original ones.

great review. I have the same pair and they are not comfortable without my superfeet inserts. And I have the exact same cap toe AE Landon! My go to dress boot for work and with suits.

Thanks. Inserts can make a big difference, but you have to size up with them, they never worked out for me.

Higgins mill also comes with a lugged sole which is MUCH more comfortable, lighter and flexible than the dainite sole.
@tommilano543114 күн бұрын
Good to know. Makes sense, since my Thursdays with the lugged sole are more comfortable than the dainite inspired sole.

Love the vids. If you do sell, what size and where will you list them?

Thank you! I might put them on eBay. Or might just keep them at my mom’s.

The point about warmth and wearing cheap cotton athletic socks - that's your issue.
