The last thing he said wasn’t wise. Ignorant to be honest. He said “as long as we get the win, I could care less” (when responding to the question about Iverson’s quickness) That means he does care. But he, as many other ignorant people, didn’t say what he meant. “I couldn’t care less”

I probably watched every Allen Iverson game as a Sixers great KZbin video great production gives me goosebumps watching this Video, Iverson is Philadelphia royalty we love this guy, that's a competitor it's what sports is about. Old school basketball was more physical. Great shooters today but today's game is practice compared to that I'm sorry just is. I'm still an NBA fan still watch the Sixers it's just that old school basketball is the best.

Rodman knew how to get in your head 😅. But just listen to how much class Jordan has. Doesn't take cheap shots. Everything he says to the media is very professional and complimentary. Today's players can learn something just from looking at some of his interviews.

That last line really sums Jordan's outlook up. Yeah, there was all that 'and I took that personally' stuff, but if he stunted on someone and the team lost, it would tear him up. I saw him more at the end of his career with the Bulls, and at that point the main limiting factor for him was if he got tired. The defensive intensity was always there, his mind was always working on how to pick your team apart, but earlier in the game a lot of the time he'd be coasting (coasting for him was usually 15 pts. a few steals, assists and blocks in a half, so, ya know, it's relative). He'd usually turn it up to stop the other team from going on runs, or if the game got tight down the stretch. The playoffs was when you'd see him go full throttle the entire time, and as we all know, that was something to watch.

Kinda like how bird destroyed and talked trashed to Rodman when he was a rookie forcing him to say something stupid. Rodman tried to do the same to AI. The difference was Rodman could hide behind a dynasty winning franchise while AI had the job of carrying a lottery team on his back soon as he got into the league. Also never had the same push from the league as jordan or Kobe. Basically imagine how the media treats Russell Westbrook but the hate starts in high school instead of the NBA.

Bird also said what he said to negate the negative attention from Isiah and Rodman. The rules were to keep the tension inside of the NBA from all outside activities because despite being enemies and competitors, the NBA is still a prestigious camp that is a brotherhood. Not saying that Bird lied, I don't see him truly caring about what Rodman and Isiah said, but he was still protecting them.

Iverson wasn't a good basketball player, he was a great athlete and didn't understand the game and those Bulls were telling them how things worked in the NBA to have a long career where you can get what you want in time. Iverson just didn't know HOW to lead, he was great at carrying the ball, speeding up-and-down the court, shooting whenever he felt, and just the learning of the actual game was NOT there and then the Sixers messed up that entire situation by not building correctly around Iverson -- those teams should have had 2 or 3 titles with talent like Iverson.
