Great load of wood guys. Those stand on track machines sure are impressive as to how much they can lift. You’re both sounding better. Weather is getting better. Karen will be wearing her safety sandals soon. I think I might even try cutting some wood today. Have 6 cords of hardwood to cut up. 8’ lengths. Didn’t get to them last year. Have a great weekend. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

Hello Phil and Karen. Good job getting the wood but that was a lot of traveling. There is a possibility you can make that part of the wood a location for mud wrestling Events. Probably can make some extra money selling tickets. It sure looks sloshy and deep enough to work. Thanks for another good video.

A lot of driving but hope you get some good saw logs. I see a lot of firewood in the little stuff. This winter has been awful for the mud. You are going to have to do a lot of repairs to the lot in the summer.
@AllenFamilyFirewood9 ай бұрын
I sawed out all that hemlock for 2 by 4s to use for our firewood pallets an that’s the plan for the next 2 days is to be inside building pallets . I think once the $ starts coming in from the rd side stands we will get more loads of gravel for the wood yard . Eventually the wood yard will be flat an dry yr round or at least I hope it will .

Free wood good wood. There bunch tree take down mile from house today. They won’t let anyone in to cut. Hope they bring me some or go get some with dump trailer. How many cord you get on a trailer load? That a lot wood for free. Keep up the good work.
@AllenFamilyFirewood9 ай бұрын
Well that’s a bummer will they load you if you brought in a big trailer . I can get about 2 cord on our trailer if I really load it up with 16-18 ft long stuff . I really should have a log truck with a grapple so I can get 6 or 8 cord at a time but it’s just not in the budget yet maybe in a yr or 2 once we get things dialed in an the wood yard is running smooth.

Karen doing her part, capturing it all on camera including Phil in the background pressing the flesh and flapping his gums!😂Funny seeing that Frenchie hitching a ride- my son just offered me one of theirs, recently lost my sweet Ellie- could have been Gunners sister, looked alike, had to politely decline, very high-maintenance, I call em’ the “Zsa Zsa Gabor” of breeds. Great to have the relationship you have with the tree service, sure they appreciate you guys traveling the extra distance- the C note is proof. Hope you two have rounded third, and are headed for home, kicking that bug! Take care!

Nice loads of logs. Phil your Ford truck you bought how do you like it. What motor do you have in it? I’m looking but prices are scary. Your truck has a 10 speed ? The wood on the trailer waiting to be stacked that some nice stuff. Take care my friends.Al
@AllenFamilyFirewood9 ай бұрын
So far I like the truck it’s better on gas than the Chevy I had an way more power I’d say 1/3 more power . It has the 7.3 Godzilla motor an yes it’s a 10 spd automatic. I believe it was 50 k when we bought it . I also like the fact that being aluminum it won’t rot out in 6 yrs an I sprayed the frame with oil so that should last as well .

Thanks Frank the tree company’s don’t want to deal with the wood around here . They just want to get in a get the job done an get out on to the next job as fast as possible. We do tend to find a lot of metal in our saw logs but I’d say a good 3/4 of them are free of metal . I sawed all that hemlock yesterday and will be making more firewood pallets with them tomorrow .

yeah buddy, nothing like free wood! bout how many mtn. dews were consumed? lol. hey Phil you ever heard of stabilized sand? If not, it's simply sand mixed with portland cement. I'm sure your local concrete plant would fix you up some. I know you hate to spend money but I think that would greatly help the area where your tractor is close to bottoming out. Stuff will get as hard as regular concrete. Karen, glad you had an easier day. You deserve it!
@AllenFamilyFirewood9 ай бұрын
Ow there was a few dews consumed over the day for sure . I think once things dry out an we can top the area with good gravel it should be good . That’s all fresh dirt we dumped there last fall when we had the excavator here to level the wood yard . The areas we packed down an graveled are all good but we had run out of cash to keep buying more gravel . Hopefully we can fix that this summer once wood starts selling .

@@AllenFamilyFirewood Which was my point, free comes at a cost how much that's worth is up to the individual to decide. Many see free and think great without considering what it is actually costing them in time, fuel and wear and tear on their vehicle.
